Just a little information on ebay and getting the “info“ auctions canceled, and how and what rules to use. The way ebay has refined it’s rules, there is NO WAY these types of auctions are allowed in any way shape or form !!!

First off I have a little confession I stated in another post that I have gotten 13,000 auctions canceled, and 200 plus sellers NARUed. It’s as of 6/12/03 its 17, 842 auctions canceled and 213 sellers NARUed.

So here’s the way to get it done.
If an auction listing has a product in the title , like Play Station 2 Cheap, or X Box for 25 Dollars. This is a Misleading title and here is the URL for that and what Ebay says is misleading.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-titles.html
Misleading titles are any titles that do not accurately describe the item for sale.

Now those auctions that say I have a secret website that sells an X Box for xx dollars.
This is circumventing fees, here is the URL for that one and what Ebay says is circumventing fees.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-circumventing.html
Offer outside of eBay - offering the opportunity to purchase the item or other merchandise outside of eBay through an item listing.

You can also use the URL sales rule on this one also it’s about the same and works also.
Here’s the URL for that rule and the wording from Ebay

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/catalogs.html
Listings of URLs that offer buyers the opportunity to purchase items outside of eBay are prohibited.

Now for those who think if you put it on a Floppy disc or a CD you are out of luck also, Ebay has a rule for you guys.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/compilation.html
Listings that include compilations or informational content on any media are subject to the following restrictions

Keywords that relate to a specific item may not be used in a title unless the listing is the item.
The listing may not offer information on how to purchase items outside of eBay.
The listing may not offer information on how to receive items for free outside of eBay.

I don't get it, how is it possible that you have stopped all those listings, do you just sit at your computer all day or is there any easier way to stop this?

Looks like you are 100% loser. Have fun sitting in front of your computer stopping ebay listings while all other people enjoy a LIFE.

No it's real easy, just open note pad and copy and paste. Then copy and paste to report them.. I check Plasma Tv's on one day, the next is Laptops, and that gets 90% of them.
Takes a hour at most . It did take longer a few months ago, but now these bums are getting gun shy when as soon as they list the auctions they get canceled!! Not as many auctions to check.

Nope...haven't ran an ebay auction like that in forever! Too much trouble and hassle.

Anyway Peter...I must say I want to apologize for the way that my post came out...yes I do think it is frivolous that some people do that; however, the way you explained it makes perfect sense.

Sorry again!

CurtXxX

PS - How do YOU know you make more money than I do? LOL

Peterdragin,
Once you compile all the information, what is the URL for the report page that you use. Do you send an email, or fill out an online forum.

Here are the links to each Rule I use to report the Auctions.

These are listed under Prohibited and Restricted items.

Cataloge and Url Sales.

If the auction is for a secret web site or something like it, use this Link..

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/catalogs.html

Complilatuion and Informational media

If the Auction is for some sort of list on any type of media, like some sellers try to get away with it by saying they are sending you the info on a CD or a Floppy disc, PDF. File, Etc. then Use this link ..

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/compilation.html

Presale Auctions

Sometimes you can get them for a Presale Auction. If they state the item will take more that 30 days to recive, it's a presale auction and not allowed.
Use this link for them.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/pre-sale.html

This group of Rules is in rules for sellers.

Circumventing fees

This is another one I use alot to get these guys.
If they say I have a place you can get a X Box for 25 dollars or what every product they are selling info. for They are Circumventing fees , Ebay dislikes people taking money from their pockets. Use this link for this one.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-circumventing.html

Misleading titles.

Any title is misleading if they use the product name in it. Like Sony Playstation 2 cheap
and they are selling just info. It's misleading the bidders into looking at the auction thinking there is a product for sale. use this link for this

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-titles.html

Links in the description.

If they have a active or hidden links in the auction description it is not allowed.
Like I have seen some auctions with CLICK HERE for more information,CLICK HERE is a link goes directly to a Matrix site. use this link for this one.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-links.html

Categorization ( almost never use this one )

If all else dosen't fit just get them for listing in the wrong category. 99% of the auctions are listed in the wrong categories. Information can only be listed in the Everything Else, Information Services category.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-categorization.html

All these pages in the links explain the rules pretty good.

Seems pretty lame that some small number of people has to protect the large number of people in the world that refuse to use their brains. Anyone who buys into a matrix program has to understand the impilications of their actions. And if that person is too stupid or trusting to get the idea that it is a risky investment, then they should lose out. This society allows too much protection against stupidity. Adults make free choices to post these auctions, and people make choices to buy the auctions and the matrix product they sell. I respect the people that decide that their lot in life is to spread the word about the obvious, but it still seems lame that we have to use the government and the law to help those that lack common sense

In a perfect world we would not need the government, or anyone else to protect us from other people, because everyone would be honest and trustworthy.

Unfortunately we do not live in a perfect world. And between 1 and 2 of every adult person you meet on average would not think twice about robbing you blind.

What many people fail to understand about our society is that it is important to protect the unaware or misinformed from that small minority. We, as a society, shell out huge amounts of money to help those with less.

Which do you feel is the better alternative?

1. Do nothing, let those that are unaware be taken to the bank, and scamed out of their money.

2. Do something, by either (a) going after those that would decieve, (b) informing the unaware, or a (c) combination of both.

Option 1 would seem to be your choice. "They get what the deserve." But you forget that in our society we still end up supporting those people through higher taxes and larger subsidized state and federal programs. Not only does the scammer take the money of the scammed, but makes the rest of us pay more to help out the scammed. That does not seem very fair to anyone.

Option 2 is much better. It makes it more difficult for the scammers to take money from the uninformed, raises the intelligence of the uninformed, and saves us all money in the long run.

Personally I think (b) of option 2 is the most appealing, but it simply does not always work, especially in the early stages of a scam such as this. As I have personally observed, the uninformed simply do not beleive the informed until a critical mass has been reached.

(a) by itself is not the best either because the uninformed are not given enough information to explain why the scammers are being sought.

(c) is the best option. I like to think that this site, and several of the members within, are doing this. Through Watchdog and the lawsuit against EzExpo (et al) the scammers are being sought, and through Watchdog and several of us we are trying to inform the uninformed.

Although you may not agree today, the actions here will be better for the majority of the people in the long run.

virology76 you sound like some one whose auctions on ebay got canceled.
And you are on some Matrix list who is high on a list!! and don't stand a chance of getting your " gift " without keeping sites alive.

"quote "
Anyone who buys into a matrix program has to understand the impilications of their actions. And if that person is too stupid or trusting to get the idea that it is a risky investment, then they should lose out.

Sounds Ok but all the Matrix sites use the 5 person matrix as an example. If they would use the real numbers I think the sign ups for the lists would have killed them long before they got a good start.

Samples
say they bought the 30th position on a list.
5 X 30 = 150 more to sign up to get my " Gift " not to bad, but where is there a 5 person matrix ? Now some have started this for quick cash or something like it because the big items STOPPED moving.

Normal lists have no less that 15 or 20 person lists, take the same guy and put him in a 20 person matrix and the thing changes big time. 20 X 30 = 600 bodies to sign up. but he is still thinking of that magical 5 person matrix.

If he enters a 50 person Matrix it's 50 X 30 = 1,500 bodies to get his " gift " Not going to happen. The site will be in the dumper by then, or the guy will die of old age.

that was sweet...those guys are so pissed that we are doing something to keep this off ebay.

It's too bad that their get rich quick schemes aren't working like they hoped.

it's trash like that that make me feel a little better about what we are doing.
