I wonder where this newbie get his/her quote from?

I am at the very bottom of the ps2 list and realize it is going to take a while to make it to the top 6-10 months as I was qouted. If playstation 3 comes out by the time I am ready to recieve ps2 will I or can I get ps3 instead?

Just for the record here is the email I received on the 16th MARCH 2003 that convinced me to join a matrix (my very 1st  ) and get a ps2 for only £20 ($35). Pay special attention to current waiting time. I signed up on the 18th (Kept telling myself it was TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE) I waited and waited till the back end of last year................then they closed shop and took all the money! Anyone else shared a similar experience LOL

Hi,
To get your choice of console and games, sign up at www.jointhematrix.co.uk
I paid my £20 in Feb' and got my ps2 and games on Monday, just under 3 weeks in total. I've now bought 4 memberships (wish I'd done that 3 weeks ago) so I can sell the consoles and make some serious profits. You can have a maximum of 5 in any 24 hour period.
I DO NOT SUPPLY THE CONSOLES. I am just a member trying to spread the word. The quicker people join, the quicker members receive their console(s). I believe current waiting times are between 4 days and 2 weeks.
Thanks

February/March of last year is also the same time I got involved with these sites. The real bummer about early last year was that there was hardly anything on the internet about these sites. The only information sources one could find were forums owned by matrix owners/investors, and any negative talk about the matrices would be quickly removed. I am glad that today we have a forum containing REAL testimonials, statistical reports, lawsuits, arrest announcements, and stories from former matrix owners.

It is also a place where customers can come to ask honest and skeptical questions about the matrix sites, and not have to be afraid that a matrix owner will remove their name from the lists. Remember when EzExpo was doing this?

It seems to be a variation of the GotMatrix FAQ page:

6. How long do I have to wait until I can get my free product?

We opened this site in March, 2003 and have been receiving well over 1000 unique visitors/day, growing daily. The more we market the faster the Rankings will move, and the more you help to promote the site the faster you will move up the rankings. Average matrices take 3-7 months to cycle, completely dependant on your position within the matrix.

Actually, from what we have learned about matrix sites this claim that GotMatrix makes is completely untrue. Anyone who has been involved in a matrix knows that when more people sign up, the list is harder to sell to new customers. Also, when more people sign up, the list actually moves slower, not faster.

Ycchen's statistics reports have proven that NO matrices take 3-10 months to cycle, no matter where you are on the matrix. It is more like 8-40 years! By then, the electronic product you will be awarded for will be completely obsolete or 80% less expensive. If you stick your $25-$250 in the bank and then wait until the price of the product comes down, then you just might save a few bucks (and a lot of heartache). Giving your money to a matrix site today for a PS2 would be like joining a matrix site 6 years ago for a Nintendo 64.

The fact is that the first 1-4 people on a matrix list get their product quickly, and they are the ones out there promoting it. The other people are basically slaves to the matrix site and those at the top of the lists. It has also been the case in the past that matrix owners add fake names to the lists and cycle that cash into their own pockets. They also tell their close friends about a new matrix site before anyone else knows about it, and their buddies reap all the rewards. This may or may not be the case with GotMatrix, but it just goes to show that these sites are not as safe as we are inclined to believe they are after reading the FAQ pages.

The good news is that customers can still have a chance at getting their money back by either contacting their credit-card company, requesting a refund from the matrix site, or by filing a lawsuit. But, as Vee-Twin's story reveals, if the customers wait too long the matrix owner gets away with all the money, and then it is too late.

The part that gets me is the where he states "the more WE market".......Greg has not lifted one finger towards an advertisement since the site opened. He says he does time and again, but for the amount of advertising that he "supposedly" does; the internet should be cluttered with GotMatrix banners, logos and links. But where are they??
If they do advertise, where? When? How?

The funny thing about it is that when the customers themselves go out to promote, they don't go anywhere. The go to the GotMatrix Forum and put an ad there in hopes they will soon cycle. Their only other alternative is to VOTE,VOTE,VOTE for a #1 position at Matrix-Sites or All-Matrix that brings them absolutely ZERO in cycles or customers for that matter. Yet they drill that all day long in the forum, Vote so the site can be number 1!!

It's always good to be the number 1 rated scam on the internet. At least that is what I am assuming they are going for.

As for the people getting that information about cycling in 6-10 months, I have been told by a few people that even now, if a newbie sends an email to Greg or a forum moderator, that they still say 6-10 months, knowing that it will never happen.

Another ETHICAL decision by the SELF PROCLAIMED HONEST MATRIX OWNER.
