According to my very conservative estimation, Gotmatrix should be a history (like Ezexpo and other scam matrix-sites) before next Chrismas. Of course, it won't close down without a lawsuit for sure, but it will be so slow that it will be forgotten. In fact, that is what Greg is counting on. Everyone just give up their investment voluntarily, then he will happily getting away with easily scammed money.

I see some disgrunted customers are finally making some noise in Greg's used-to-be 'peaceful' and 'cheerful' forum. Since pyramid-matrix will be history soon, let me copy some of the interesting conversation over here to share and to keep as archive. In the future, when people want to learn about online pyramid scheme, they will find "pyramid-matrix scheme" a good case study..:D

24 Feb, Oldie A
I guess that's what happens when the customers are the people who have to advertise, they only put the ad for the list they are on and not all the lists. The owner of this site needs to do more, but they leave it up to us to get the lines moving. With the amount of time this site has been opened, there should be a Gotmatrix banner or link on just about every major site on the net, yet I only see Matrix-Sites and Top-Matrix with anything related to this site. There just is not enough done by the owner to help all the lists which is why they are at a halt. There is a point where the customers just can't do anymore to promote which is where we are now, and the owners need to step up and carry the site to where it needs to be, but that just isn't happening. Come on y'all it's up to us to cycle ourselves so let's help ALL lists and promote the SITE AS A WHOLE and NOT just the list you are on! 24 Feb, Oldie B (who never cycle I suppose) Quite frankly, I don't think I have the guts to do any promotion regarding this site. I know how long the wait is since I joined in LONG ago, and dragging someone down with me, it's just not my style. People kept telling others "OH yes, you WILL get it eventually," but if you read closely, the key word is "eventually." So, let's take another look, how long is "eventually"? I saw someone mentioned that they'll receive their Xbox in approx. 6-8 years, and that's if people keep signing up. If I know which I do, the situation is like this and the wait is unbearable, what am I to drag someone down to the same SHxT hole that I'm already in.

I consider the $3000 + I put in is already down the drain, and with that in mind, I WILL NOT go out there and try to promote this site which is the admin's job to do so. I won't go out there and bad mouth this site, and hopefully we can discuss this subject freely within this site considering we are already customers.

So, ask yourself now, ARE YOU DOING THE RIGHT THING? Comment:
1. I feel bad about the 'impossible' situation that customer B is facing. And I applaud his/her courage to 'do the right thing' by refusing to be a 'collaborator' of this scam. If you drag one friend into the pyramid, your friend will be donor to cycle the 'free rider' in front of you. Then, your friend will be 'forced' to do the 'self-promoting' again to get more friends to cycle you 'eventually'. It is the horrible fact of any pyramid scheme unfortunately.

2. Both customers (A & B) FINALLY realized that the owners and insiders are NOT doing their job by promoting this pyramid-matrix scheme AT ALL. You know why? Becuase they have successfully transfered the burden of promoting to the customers especially through the diehard promoter -- sixg97.

Face it people, the TRUTH of any pyramid scheme is about SELF-PROMOTING. If there is no self-promoting, then it is NOT pyramid scheme. NO exception.

People, you are touching the other sensitive spot of pyramid-matrix owner. I am 100% sure that your question on 'why don't the owner(s) promote the site?" (like the 'waiting period' question) will be IGNORED (and eventually DELETED). :(

yeah, I'm surprised that Greg ducks this issue as well. He's really holding on to that "great customer service notion" with everything he's got. BUT how can your customer service be all that great when you don't advertise? A site with lists that can only move by bringing in new people doesn't advertise??? If you ask him, he tells you that he runs extensive ad campaigns, yet there is no banners, links or anything Gotmatrix on any sites on the net! You will find MatrixWatch more often than GotMatrix even when typing in Gotmatrix as your keyword. The site has been opened for almost a full year and they only have about 10 other sites that dare carry a link to them and those are "personal" websites that get zero traffic. I've put many sites online and it doesn't take me but 1 1/2 weeks to get a steady stream of THOUSANDS of unique visitors and that's without paying one red cent for advertising or link placement, so there is no excuse other than "they flat out don't advertise". Greg has shown us time and again that he is not looking out for the best interest of his customers or his own business, he's only out to make a quick buck, only he can't even do that cause his accounts get frozen or his customers stay "pending" forever.

Actually I haven't seen ANY matrix sites not even MOVEMEUP having links on any major websites or any other websites other than Top-Matrix, AllMatrix, Matrix-Sites or FreeLadder. That shows you that ALL matrix sites are scams. Any true business owner is in the business of advertising as well as whatever the business is, cause that is the only way to keep business alive.

I suspect that the owners of the Pyramid-matrix site do not advertise aggressively not merely because they don't want to invest, but they don't want 'too much' attention from 'wrong' authorities.

Therefore, the best way to 'promote' while stay semi underground is to transfer the burden of promotion to the customers!! Desperate custmers will mobilized their own personal networks to get friends, classmates, family members to invest.

I am interested in this viewpoint you guys are sharing, but I don't know if what you are theorizing is the case. If it is true that matrix owners do not want to promote their site themselves because they want to evade the authorities, then it would follow that they tell their customers to not promote as well. This is not what we see, however. I wonder if it has to do with one of the reasons people become matrix owners.

Just as there are reasons that customers get involved with matrix sites (i.e. other people's promoting will move them up the list too, getting in early enough yields great rewards, etc) there are also reasons that people decide to own matrix sites. Here are a few I can think of:

1) The customers have the desire to move to the top of the list, and thus the urgency just needs to be fed for the customers to do all the work for you. At the end of the day, if they do nothing, they don't cycle, but you (the owner) still have their money no matter what.

2) By taking good care of a few of your first customers who actually cycle, you can reap the reputational benefits from their testimonials even when the lists are crammed with names. The people who made the quick money make believers out of all the people who come along later.

3) By just being nice and polite you can calm people's fears about never getting anything out of your matrix site. Just tell the people that you are there to help them get electronics over and over. Win their affections, and then threaten to remove people from the matrix who say anything negative about the site. Sooner or later you will have a group of customers who will stand by you until the end (aren't there still people supporting EzExpo?).

Anyhow, I think that point #1 is where Greg might be at. He is just trying to put the site on cruise control and not have to deal with it on a daily basis. He sees it as someone may see a rental property, the only drawback is that what he is doing is illegal in most states. The only thing he has going for him is that some of his most loyal customers are believing his lies. He has them keep the group moral high by announcing when lists move, or when new lists or promotions open. That is why Greg sees MatrixWatch as such a threat. We closely examine the facts and release statistics to prove the GotMatrix owner wrong. He cannot refute out claims, so he demonizes us instead. He tells people that Matrix Watch is out to get GotMatrix or something. This is not the case. All we do is ask the legitimate questions that the customers have been asking for months now. When Greg tries to lie to us like he does to them we prove him dead wrong by releasing new statistical reports.

We've witnessed many sites crumble, and we've been here for the customers in the aftermath. GotMatrix is no different.
