Many customers of "matrix sites" have discovered that they will never "cycle" and that the matrix site is just another version of a pyramid scam.

Then, they wonder whether or not they can contact the credit-card company they paid through and file a chargeback. This is a tricky situation, and it largely depends on which credit-card company you used to pay the matrix sites.

Posted below is an informative article on chargebacks. If anyone else knows of articles on this subject then please post them here.

Many customers do not realize that they are allowed to file a chargeback within a certain period of time after they pay the matrix site. Customers should contact their credit-card company and inquire into their options. Some CC companies have determined that the matrix sites are frauds and they are giving the customers 100% refunds after the chargeback is filed.

Here is the article: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/3078504/

PayPal even has buyer-protection policies that matrix customers may be able to take advatage of. The article mentions these incentives as well.

What NOT to do when filing a chargeback:

Never lie to the CC company or bank by telling them that you never received the product when in fact you did. This is a big no-no, and it will likely delay your solution. Tell the CC company instead that you think you were the victim of a fraud, and let them know all the details so that they can file a report and investigate.
