I read on another forum that GotMatrix has gone down, anybody know anything about this? I tried to get on the site but it doesn't come up. I'm getting a "page not available" error. Anybody else experiencing this when trying to get on?

Grey is still happily counting his money that he scams from self-promoting newbies. It is a very 'democratic' matrix-site where the owner "sit back and relax", a few supporters (usually the early birds) paying lip services on the forum and the newbies who have ZERO chance of getting anything 'happily' promoting the website.

This is how gotmatrix style pyramid scheme works. It relies exclusively on newbies's illusion that they will get their return of investment in 3-7 months. Unfortunately, they did not realize that anyone who signup this year will never get anything.

It takes a lawsuit to stop this pyramid-matrix scam. Or, I believe if more customers file complaints to the authorities (including SEC), there is a chance that it will be stopped soon.

Diehard supporters (or fans) might argue that why we keep bugging a honest owner like Greg who keeps his promise of paying cycled member?

Here is the answer AGAIN. As an consumer advocate, we need to stop this scam because it is a pyramid scheme which is exploiting newbies. The money donated by the newbies are distributed upward in the pyramid structure with OWNER on the top of the pyramid. The larger the pyramid grows, the more hopeless the newbies are.

As a pyramid-matrix schcme, gotmatrix is unethical in 4 ways.

First, it is a pyramid that only distribute money the owner scam from customers. Part of it use to pay off some early birds while the owner keep around 20% of EACH signups. For example, if you signup $100 on single or multiple items, $80 dollars will go to pay the early birds high up in the pyramid structure, $20 will go to Greg pocket directly.

Second, the newbies are not rich people. Many of them are poor students or single moms who are just trying to get a cheap electronics for themselves or their love one. Many of them are deceived by the lies from owners, promoters, the FAQ, the matrix-ranking sites, matrix certifying site (matrixagency), tons of ebay illegal listings....etc.

So, the third reason why matrix site is unethical is because it is SYSTEM OF LIES that keeps pyramid-matrix sites afloat until today. Every parties in the systems are responsible for the survival of pyramid-matrix scam.

After being fed with all the lies from multiple parties, most newbies jump right into the scam happily. What they did not realize is that 80-90% at the bottom of the pyramid will NOT get anything at all. Even today, their only complaint is: "it takes too long to cycle". It is not a matter of "too long", the most horrifying fact is that pyramid-matrix site REQUIRED 80-90% of the customers to STAY in the pyramid cage as pure donors. Most of the disgrunted customers still do not get the WHOLE picture, so they will take it as a 'fail' investment and leave quietly.

Forthly, it relies exclusively on the self-promotion efforts of the donors -- a more accurate term for newbies. You pay, you promote but you get nothing. You call this a honest business?

Greg and all other owners are praying that all the disgrunted customers will just donate the money, promote the site for a while and walk away quietly after probalby a few angry email exchange with the owners.

It is a just a matter of time that all this pyramid-matrix scam will become history. As a consumer advocate group, we hope it will end sooner than later, so less newbies get hurt.

I agree ycchen....and I guess I'm just BANNED from the site altogether cause other people can get on....oh well that's Greg's new plan for proving he's "honest". Ban whoever questions his scheme.

It's not "gone" but it's down. The site is still there, just showing that the shop is closed.

This may lead to total closer of the site, but it's not there yet. It says try back later. Don't get your hopes up to soon.

I think Greg will be back soon to scam more newbies. There is no reason why Greg would give up this scam voluntarily. He makes good money by transfer money from one to the other, while keeping 20-50% profit to himself.

Our ultimate goal is that Greg would "STOP AND REFUND", NOT "close and run away".

From what I know, GotMatrix put up an announcement last week giving everyone the heads up. I copied it just in case people raised this issue here on the forums.

Here is what the message said last week on the GotMatrix homepage:

Thusrday June 3rd, 2004: On Monday, June 7th we will be temporarily closing the shop & email servers for maintenance. Estimated time is 24-48 hours. Due to several recent script errors we find this necessary to make sure everything is operating correctly to ensure a great experience for our customers. Gotmatrix.com will not be accessible at this time. Also as I had posted on the forums incase you have not visited, if your order is not showing on the list, or if you have cycled and not been notified please contact me directly at Greg@gotmatrix.com and I will assist you in a timely manner. Thanks, Greg

However, I do hope that the customers realize that even though GotMatrix will be coming back in a day or so (so they say) the customers still have just as good a chance at cycling that they would if the site closed up.

If a customer does not step forward to sue GotMatrix sometime soon, then it will be too late.

The site had a post on it for four days that it would be down and it was posted on the forum. Don't celebrate just yet. The site will be back once it's errors are fixed. Looks like GotMatrix isn't closed yet.

I copied that announcement two posts up.

If I shut my site down, I would certainly make sure that I had a small statement there instead. There are ways to do that.

Even though the announcement was on their home page and on the forums, they should have an announcement that pops up when you load the URL. They can still fix their script errors and have this announcement up.

I think at this point, it doesn't matter what should have been done, or what shouldn't have been done. Also, just because he left a note on his page, doesn't mean anything. I have seen lots of sites close down after claiming to have closed to fix errors. I still to this day don't understand why they can't fix errors, test them, and then upload them while the current site is running. Then they can move the data once the new site is up. Anyway, we have seen sites close after such an announcement, and we have also seen them come back. Now it is time to let Gotmatrix prove to us what will really happen.

their back all right...and their bestseller is $25 cash...I thought they were selling ebooks. Also, there is no link to find out what spot in the matrix you will be...that's how they scam newbies. Someone sees that and throws in $50 for a chance and then don't get anything for a year.

Greg tried to ban me, but I'm back on now.
