Hey,
I was recommended to this forum from another. I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this message or not, but I'll give it a go.
I have been having some problems with paypal lately (I moved and they froze my account), and am looking for a similar option. I don't run a matrix or anything, actually just a small gothic clothing site. It is just a hobby, and isn't an actual business (i get maybe one order every 2-3 months. heh.)
Everything I run across for another option seems to be a scam. I don't trust my financial information to them and am looking for some other options. I tried PayDirect but I couldn't get a response from customer service.
I just used Paypal for their "Buy It Now" option that would allow customers to purchase something. I liked that they didn't have to sign up for paypal if they didn't want to.
Can anyone recommend something that is similar to paypal that is more reliable and has better customer service?
Thanks.

You could go for WorldPay, but it really isn't worth it if you are not generating a large amount of revenue. The startup costs are around $300-$500.

Nochex is a lot better, your customers dont even need to sign up to pay you.

From a sellers point of view, its safe, no charge-backs.

Do you think this is a 'scam'? I'm really not sure...

There are lots of payment processors out there, you just need to search through the search engines. As others have pointed out, there is Nochex for the UK. There is also Stormpay for the USA, Worldpay, and lesser-known payment processors such as payism.com and paygene.
