Hey guys. I just wanted to tell you all how proud I am of what the watchdogs are doing. It has only been a few short months since I took up the job as lead dog around here, and look where we are now....nearly 10000 ebay auctions reported. Now Yahoo is covered too, and auctions are getting cleared out there faster than I can get to reporting them! We have our friends accross the pond covered now as well.
I just can't you guys how good of a job you are all doing. I know this is mostly a thankless job, so I commend you all for your hard work you put in on a daily basis just to help out strangers.
Keep up the good fight! We'll nail all of these matrix sites before you know it!

Thanks for your encouraing words. I have to admit that I did the LEAST in all the reporting job, because the most difficult "search and verify" are done by the other three eBay watch dogs.
What I enjoy most is informing a few sellers & buyers on a regular basis, get a few ID NURED (suspended) and draw some victims to our forum...:) I know there are a few others doing the same jobs out there!!
Keep up the good job! It's really wonderful to work with you all!

What do you mean? Are you actually placing bids on the matrix auctions?
I actually wouldn't recommend that. It only brings the bidder more trouble than they need, and it is also against eBay bidding policy.
Reporting the auctions as Mercinary is should do the job just fine.
Some of our past members have actually sent the seller a friendly little message about the matrix sites, but if you do this be prepared for them to strike back.

I generally send a message to the user (on ebay) explaining the policy violation and let them know that they're id and auctions are being monitored here on matrixwatch.org ... don't know if it helps or not, but it opens some eyes to see merc's posting of their ebay id along with the auctions ...
I've also had cases (on Yahoo), where users have sent me email asking questions about matrix sites by the statement I always leave on matrix auctions, I always send any people here .. the best part is when I get an auction I can't shut down on Yahoo (like my post this morning), you can continually ask probing questions that expose the scam ... it can be amusing ...

Hi
Thanks for the info.
One problem on ebay is, i can only send 2 e-mails and 1 ASQ per day, and i like to keep the 2 e-mails free to warn high bidders if they are bidding on a big scam.
Its a pity mercinary cant code a magic button, click and poof, the auction is gone.
cheers

LOL. That would be nice wouldn't it? I could probably code that......if I worked for ebay. Maybe they can start paying me!
