I bought into this matrix for an x-box in July 2003. I still have not gotten anything. They refuse to answer e-mails. They will not give you their address or phone number. I have written over 35 e-mails to greg the owner and have not gotten an answer in the past few months. This was supposed to be for my son's Eagle Scout ceremony. They know I am an MS patient who has difficulty writing e-mails and they still refuse to try and settle this. I would not deal with them at all.

I have noticed that several members on the GotMatrix forums feel the same way that you do. No one can get in touch with Greg, but I bet that if someone emailed Greg offering to donate $50,000 to GotMatrix he would respond within the hour!

Those who don't have much to gain are throwing in the towel it seems, and those who are close to cycling are squeezing their last drops of energy into keeping things civilized (and profitable) for just a little longer.

It is like that with most pyramid scams. In the past, when large pyramid and multi-level-marketing scams would go to court there would often be crowds of people lined up in front of the courtroom in support of the scam artists. Some people get so caught up in the cultish element of it all, and others just want to get paid before they leave the scheme. Either way, those who begin to speak the truth are going to get attacked by the die-hards.

For example, here is one complaint that was posted on the Got Matrix forum:

I've been emailing Greg for months now - I cycled almost six months ago - and I have not received a single reply. Does anyone know how to contact Greg or to elicit a response from him? AND does anyone know what recourses are available to receive what we were promised?

Now, here is a response to this member's post:

Hmmm I am weary of all this crap[/u]. Guess it's time to find somewhere else to post. Nothing like coming here every day with a half full glass of water and leaving a few minutes later with a half empty glass. In this life, pain and suffering are inevitable, but misery is by choice. [b]I choose to not be miserable.

Did someone see a logical argument in defense of matrix scams somewhere in that response? Did someone see evidence for long-term viability of the matrix-marketing model? Of course not. Only a cultish "Us vs. Them" attitude to try and separate the loyalists from those who would dare oppose Greg. This is exactly how tyrannical regimes are run, by the way.

Kathy, my advice to you would be to hang in there with what you decide to do. Ignore the attacks that people will lauch against you and do what is in your heart. I was persecuted for expressing my opinions against EzExpo, but today I can sleep knowing that I gave all I that had in order to help others in my same exact situation, and to help other people do what I had done if they chose to do so.
