I would like to say not just to the eBay Watch Dogs, but to all my members that I have been very proud of you. You have united and dug deep to find solutions to problems, and answers to questions. Your posts have become intellectual, ground breaking, and cutting edge, and many have come here to read your insights. Our membership has soared 60% in the past two weeks, and I believe that it is due to your dilligence and dedication to the cause of Matrix Watch. Scam sites ultimately hurt the U.S. tax payer and the national economy, so in the long run you have helped both your fellow citizens, and your federal government. Matrix sites have begun to refund people's money to them, online pay processors have begun rethinking the issue and freezing accounts again, and eBay has continued to crack down on information selling. We have the attention of the California and Mississippi State Attorney Generals, and we are not even close to getting started with our summer campaign.

With that being said, I would like to talk about the methodology of our actions. If we win in our cause, I want us to win fairly. This means being professional and honest. This means reporting the accused parties to the PROPER authorities, and not relying upon our own schemes to produce our own ends. It will only hurt our reputation as a whole when individual members resort to underhanded tactics, and it is vital that we be represented as a legitimate and fair social interest/action group. Now, I have been made aware that Bob from matrixempire.com was sent a virus from what appeared to be an eBay address. As he said, "They sent me an email making it look like ebay. Probably some type of spoofer or bomber. It came from ended@ebay.com...". I do not know if this was one of you, but if it was you will be banned from this forum and reported to eBay. I would be so disappointed if ANY of you were caught for something this, and it would be to the embarrassment of Matrix Watch. I would personally like the accused party to apologize to Bob. While I think, and many of you do as well, that his drive to violate eBay's stated policies to further his own "questionably-legal" site is completely unethical, it does not mean that we use unethical tactics to enforce our opinions.

I know that it is difficult to see things happening around us that we want so much to see done away with and changed. We have been fighting so hard to further our cause, that when we see the other side still breathing we become impatient and angry. It is not wrong to be angry; it is not wrong to be upset; it is not wrong to be impatient. However, when we allow our frustrations to control our actions we are not moving on a course that benefits our goals. Bob at matrixempire.com and many other site owners like him are being affected by the situation, and they have indeed felt the legitimate blows of the matrix-watch campaign. For instance, eBay has established policies that prevent matrix sites from auctioning, and Ginix billing has frozen his account, as well as many other matrix sites' accounts, due to the lawsuit. Should we be successful in the lawsuit, that money will be available to make restitution to all the people who paid into the matrix site. Keep up the hard work, but do not resort to unfair tactics as we fight this battle for justice.

Tell Bob to get over it and get a good anti-virus program. I get an average of 5-10 viruses a day between multiple email accounts. You don't see me whining about it do you?
It is part of doing business - the more people that have your email address and have access to it - the better your chances of getting viruses.
Tell Bob to get an anti-virus program (Norton SystemWorks) that sniffs his email before he opens it.

Well Bob is not to happy because I got his seller ID on Ebay canceled, it's only for 30 days. But when he gets back on ebay and gets reported for the same thing he will be gone for good.

This is why he's advertizing on another forum to get people to do it for him.

I have had a lot of emails back and forth with him and never had either of my virus programs go off. So I can not say if the email that was recived might have been infected witha virus on
purpose, but who knows ???

Also it's a bit funny but if he knew where I'm at he could call me and not be long distance.

thanks watchdog. Well "Damion", Im sure you have done your share oh "whining" in your life time also. I do have a decent virus scanner and it did not pick this up. Its just the fact that going to the extend of sending me a virus is going a little bit to far, if you know what I mean. Its not as if he was trying to murder me or anything but it happens. As for my ebay account, well I will not be posting anymore if these illegal auctions, I can clearly see now there is no getting past your "elite" group of watchdogs. As for you Peter, where you located at?

Bob,
My point was that it was probably not anyone here or on other boards. Make sure your Virus Definitions are up to date (weekly).
There are programs that scout the web looking for email addresses called email harvesters. People with malicious intent use these programs and then use "stealth mailers" that you cannot see the headers of the email to send out bulk mail and viruses.
Once your site is listed in a search engine OR linked on another site such as a forum or advertisement, you are prone to these attacks - this is why large companies spend thousands of dollars a year on virus detection and removal software.
I am not saying it is impossible, but I doubt someone from here sent you a virus. Most of the people on this board seem a little more "grown up" than that.

My point in my previous post was to illustrate this and tell you to use a better (up to date) email scanner such as Norton SystemWorks. Make sure your virus definitions are up to date because anytime your email is on what appears to be a company or corporate website you are going to get viruses sent to you.
