Several days ago my friend came across a link to www.extremematrix.com

Anyways i thought it was too good to be true but decided to go half half with him for a 15 dolar "ebook". Anyways my excitement got the better of me and with seeing 3 members sign up within a couple of hours to another matrix cycle I decided to purchase a second ebook for 75 dollars.

The next day the same friend gave me a link to this site and my heart just sank. However i read through some of the brilliant articles and followed the course of action mentioned and everything turned out incredibly well.

Because i had signed up so soon I knew there was little chance he could have used my money to cycle someone so i sent an email to him asking for a refund to my bank, as well as stormpay.

Anyway I went to bed that night feeling like an idiot, not knowing how someone as analytical as me could get scammed.

6 hours later when i got up, stormpay had gotten back to me, this was the response

"Hello,

The funds have been charged back from the vendor and placed back into your StormPay account. The vendors account has been forwarded to our Risk Management Team for review. You may choose to spend these funds with another online vendor who accepts StormPay payments, or to withdraw the funds by clicking on the "Withdraw" link found on the top header bar of your StormPay account. Please let us know if you need any additional assistance."

Anyway i found this to be excellent work by both stormpay to treat members so well, as well as by matrix watch to give such great assistance.

As was recommended to me i strongly recommend you contact the card merchant ASAP following a transaction.

On a bit of a down note i saw someone today with 4 auction sites on ebay with a total value so far of 500 AU selling merely ebooks and the website link. However i contacted all the buyers and several of them have retracted their bids so thats a bit of good news.

Sorry if that was boring just wanted to share my experiences.

Regards

Dimitri,

Welcome to Matrixwatch! Thanks for sharing. It definately wasn't boring. The volunteers here at Matrixwatch (myself included) don't always get this kind of praise publicly, so it is nice to have you share your experience.

You are very lucky with the outcome. Most people end up losing their money in these matrix scams.

Dimitri,

Thanks for your encouraging post :) You made the right decision. Some might think that they are the early birds and might just have a chance to get cycled and get paid. Greed sometimes get into the way of 'doing the right thing'.

From our standpoint of protecting all customers, even if there is a chance that the early birds might get paid, we still encourage them to get refund and stay clear of matrix-sites because it is a pyramid scheme based on a very unjust and unethical principle, i.e. owner and few early birds (usually insider or fake names) get paid from money collected from latecomers or newbies.

Only if ALL customers (whether you are early birds or latecomers) take a collective actions of rejecting matrix-sites, then there is a hope that we can bury this scam earlier.

Not boaring at all. Nice to see something positive came out for you. Also nice to see someone ethical like yourself trying not to take advantage of others. Like ycchen said, even if you do cycle, you eventually scam many others just by cycling. Glad to hear that everything worked out for you.

Great story.

We also have a team here that reports matrix auctions to ebay and yahoo. If you have any tips for them, then feel free to post in their forum. :)

Thanks for joining Matrix Watch.

dimik- two wrongs still do not make a right. It is against ebay policy to interfere with another members transaction.
Members are not permitted to email buyers in an open or completed transaction to warn them away from a seller or item. If you have a problem with a transaction, please use the feedback forum and review our Fraud Protection Program.

Just a FYI- it is also a suspendable offense.

Let me guess- you have 0 feedback right?

I did report the sites, but by the time the fraud team get around to it it can be too late - i would rather see an ebay user lose all their customers than someone get scammed by them

I fail to see how it is a wrong - how is it right that someone can make 200 dollars each off multiple ebay user newbies and just give them a site in return - a site that is illegal. The majority of people who bid have 0 or 1 feedback and dont know what they are doing!!!

P.S No i dont have 0 feedback i have 52. And no i didnt purchase the website from an ebay auction it was given to me by someone. And no i dont really care if i get suspended.
