Saw this advertised while checking lottery numbers from last nights drawing. It seems one can obtain a Sony VAIO Laptop for free when participating in their program. I bookmarked the site location for later as I have to go to work now, but will take a closer look at it when I get home.

Has anyone heard of this program yet? The laptop is supposed to be worth $1199.00 and is free to participants.

It appears that in order to get any real information at eMarket Research Group you must sign up for the program and become a member. I will not do that. Another site that wants all my personal info before they will even disclose what the program is about. I guess they can keep their free laptop as I know I won't be getting it.

If anyone has signed up for this program, let me know what it is about. I am all ears.

Hey sisco,

I have an ongoing thread called something like "Getting free stuff without referals". I'll be updating it today or tomorrow with more information.

In a nutshell, so far, I am unable to contact emarketgroup. So, I'm going to try to contact them one more time and start canceling my offers. More to come in that thread.

Stay away from the site for now. If it might be something you consider after reading my posts on it (not just the previous ones, but to the end of the offer) than go for it. But, my main problem right now is this.

In order to get your gift you need them to send you a security email. You click on that link in the email and your almost good to go. I can't get them to send me one.

So you have knowledge of this site and their program? Ok I will look for more info later. In the mean time I have already nixed the idea of getting involved with them because of the personal info they require before even telling you about their program. I have a very big problem with that part. lol

I hear you on that. But, I'm sure like you, when i saw that I could earn something for free, or pretty much for free, than its worth that personal info.

"If it seems to good to be true, it probably is".

Apply this rule to everything you do, as it will never fail you. If this company wants personal info from you, then there is a reason for it.....they will profit from it. You can bank on that.

No "free" toy is worth selling my personal info away.

I've always been taught that nothing is 'free' in this world. Somewhere, someone is paying that $1199 for that Sony laptop, and somehow the cost will get to you somewhere, even if its not via money, it might be by aggravation and time.

Hey Jokach, I agree with you completely. Maybe it will just be $100 out of our pockets to satisfy these offers, however, if we can get something for free, than why not? Already, I'm getting 20+emails a day from these nice folks. I'm sure they'll start selling my snail mail address to everybody for a buck. I see alot of junk emails, junk regular mails, and well...well, I have a thread on this that I'm going to update to the finality, if I get my free product or not, people can make up their decisions after my long boring updates :)

LOL 20 new emails per day is what I see any time I sign up for anything now a days. I am very tired of this and the only way to avoid this is to not give out your personal info. As I said earlier, they can keep their laptop. My Dell laptop is just a PIII running at 733 MHZ but will be fine for another year or two. I can't seem to tear it up. Hehehehehe

I am very sure that somewhere, someone is paying that $1199.00 for that 'free' Sony laptop. There are many places to purchase that unit at that price or less with no strings attached. The strings attached with a free laptop may very well become a major pain in the butt somewhere down the road. And probably start long before the laptop arrives at your home.

Anyway, I would be interested to see how the $800.00 free item turns out for Dreamer even tho I am not interested in trying the program for myself with the $1199.00 Sony laptop. I look forward to reading the boring updates. :)
