I think Watchdog will be giving us all a full debriefing on why we have been down, but here is the short version...
M.W. has been down because the hosting provider has been having hardware problems we believe. This should be rectified in the coming hours (if it isn't completely rectified already).

I was getting a "database error", usually that is the forum script not communicating with the provider's software correctly. Good to see it back though, I was beginning to think the site got hacked or something.

Merc has pretty much said it. Our host is installing some new equipment and they are in the process of switching everything over. I am informed that the process should not last longer than 24 more hours.
The site may be down occasionally in the meantime, but by this weekend it should be ironed out.
Thanks for your patience!

MW is having a database error? Now I'm thinking WD is in cahoots with Greg. All lies! WD just doesn't want us to know the truth! Next he's going to say hackers! :P
In all seriousness, all the times I access MW since I became a member months ago, I've had to try a few times. I assumed it was just because too many people trying to view at the same time, so I wonder if this had anything to do with it. Either way, I was beginning to think it was just me.

Dreamer, you have figured us out!
I just spoke with our host and things are set to go. We shouldn't have any more problems. I'll check on that access issue you brought up. VBulletin can supports many visitors at one time so there must be something else I need to check.
Do you use dial up?
Sigx, I'll PM you about this. Let me get a couple things together.

No. I'm on broadband. It might just be how I access it, because I think I don't put the www in front. But, its not a problem. I try it one time...unable to resolve host. Try it again and there I am.

I heard that the "www" helps. Also, I've heard that if you put a / at the end it helps also.
Has anyone else heard this?

The www isn't required although it does help. The default that most web browsers send is www anyway when there isn't one, but I could be wrong....
I'm not sure why Dreamer is having problems, it could be that or something else.
