This is where you can find out how to get involved here at Matrix Watch. We have many opportunities listed here for you, so please take the time to find out how you would want to help out. More opportunities will be opening soon, so keep checking this folder for new updates.

eBay Watch Dogs
Please Note: This position carries a great deal of responsibility and there are important rules to follow. This group forms one of the most effective components of Matrix Watch.

The eBay Watch Dogs are a group here at Matrix Watch who supervise the auctions at eBay. The most effective means of advertisement that these matrix sites utilize is the eBay auction block. Unfortunately for the matrix sites, eBay has a policy against matrix site auctions. Unfortunately for Matrix Watch, these auctions sometimes go undected.

We have a section here on the forums where people report the auctions and the eBay Watch Dogs go and get them closed down. This helps eBay with the workload, and it helps us in our cause to protect people from these matrix sites.

You have two options:
- Look for questionable auctions on eBay and report them to the eBay Watch team.

- Take action against the matrix auctions, and the sellers who offer them. There is a protocol to doing this that you will need to learn first. An advanced level is looking for "shill" bidding attempts by members of the matrix-seller network.

If you would like to get involved with this group, send a private message to "mercinary", or post a message in the eBay forum for him.

News Reporters
News reporters comb out all the latest info from the matrix world and post their stories in the "Front Page News" section. These stories are added to the news archive, and are also available as a download for our handheld-computer AvantGo users. Contact Watch Dog via private message, email, or through the forums to get involved as a Matrix Watch field reporter. Experience in journalism is recommended.

Site Moderators
Just to let you know, most requests for moderator positions are turned down, and they are usually hand picked by the site admin. However, you are more than welcome to let us know that your are interested so that we can keep an eye out for you. Moderators ensure that the members do not violate the forum rules. This forum is actually the most open among all the matrix forums, and we do not delete new, controversial information surrounding the matrix sites as some other forums do. Contact Watch Dog if you are interested.

Daily Update Journalists
Lately, it seems like so much happens in a day. Site closures, site openings, old matrix fans defecting to our side, the media covering some new story on the matrix craze, etc. It is so hard to keep up with both the big news and the small news. Some of our members have expressed this difficulty as well. Many of them work during the day, and by the time they get home, half of the forum moderators at the other sites have deleted the controversial stuff. It really stinks, and knowledge is one key to our side's edge.

I have needed to add a section here at the site where a person who comes home at 10:00 pm can log on and get a quick update on what has happened for the past day or two. I would like to add a new section to the website called something like "The Daily Update", and this individual (or group) could write up a few sentences on the daily news. It can be either 1-2 sentences, or 1-2 paragraphs. Your choice. It does not even need to be an every-day thing. It can be daily, every-other day, once a week, etc. Whatever we can give our members would be great, and it would be another asset to our site that the other forums don't have.

Lawsuits

If you would like to take legal action against matrix sites and the pay companies associated with them then contact an attorney. You may also contact the lawyer of the EzExpo case through his website:

http://www.lawyers.com/lakeshorelaw/recentcases.jsp.

A lawsuit will enable you to act on behalf of the thousands of customers who are involved with the matrix scheme. It is the primary goal of Matrix Watch to get their money back for them, and we need your help to do so.

New Journalist Positions

I would like to begin sending out weekly newsletters that the members have the opportunity to write.

The articles from the newsletter can be written from various viewpoints, as it will resemble a "newspaper" from the community. We could host interviews with current and former site owners, both successful and unsuccessful. We could also publish a weekly list of both new and closed sites, and the various voting sites could help to compile that list and the rankings related to it. The majority of the effort would be accomplished by the community, and I would serve as an editor/distributor of the newsletter. Let me know if you are interested, and also include what ideas you have. It would be really neat if you publish your articles in sections, so that each week's newsletter has a "cliff hanger" ending.

Send you ideas and applications to: MatrixWatchDog@yahoo.com
