I have heard that there are some shady things going on over at TheSingleList.com. The customers are really upset, and it seems that the owner is not answering emails. This situation has become all too common lately. Now, when something like this happens I try to open a doorway so the customers can get their money back,. This is how I do it. My lawsuit against EzExpo also included their pay processors: Ginix, Neovi Data, PaySystems, and PayPal. There were tons of customers who were left in the dust when other matrix sites closed, and when I found out that some of them used Ginix (i.e. Cash Destination), I expanded the lawsuit to seek restitution from Ginix for the customers of these other sites. Some of the sites listed in the expanded lawsuit have not closed up shop yet, but if you do the math, an eventual close was inevitable. Better safe than sorry. However, here is the problem I face with a site like thesinglelist.com. This site uses 2Checkout to conduct online transactions, and since 2checkout is not named in my lawsuit, I cannot touch them. The only way I can help these customers is if there is evidence that thesinglelist.com used one of the processors named in my lawsuit. If you would like to seek restitution from a closed up site that is not serviced by Ginix, etc. then you need to file your own lawsuit in your own State. There are several class-action lawyers who will not charge you a dime and will sue the other side for fees. If your case loses, then the lawyer does not charge you. Not all lawyers do this, so you will need to search a database such as lawyers.com and find the one that is right for you.

It has been over a month since this site was shut down. TheSingleList.com was supposedly owned by the same operator of DesignMatrix.com, and he left this statement on July 25th. Anyone heard from him lately.
Also, just a quick note.. In the next two weeks we will see another round of site closures. It has been this way for the last three months. Keep in mind that disbursement dates are coming up from the pay companies. This is the season when matrix owners take the money and run.
Here is that statementt:

Hello Everyone,
I have taken the past hour to read through the many questions and concerns posted on this forum and will now give a succinct explanation of the situation. First, while I see many new posters, names that I recognize as honest, straight-forward people (OpenIntro, BongBarabing) seem to still be around and perhaps can validate the statement that I am about to make. The Single List and The Design Matrix were always operated with the highest levels of service, support, and personal attention. Our average email response time was under 1 hour, and issues were dealt with quickly, efficiently, and in a manner that was beneficial to our customers (e.g. We forgot to list you? Sorry about that, we'll list you twice to make up for it).
So, the burning question is then, "what happened?"
Here is the answer,
1) We were hacked (it appears now that we were not the only target)
2) We had to switch servers and were hacked again
3) Our personal in-house mail servers and ledger server were hacked
4) A lot of money went missing (we recovered it)
5) We tried as hard as we could to continue to address questions and concerns during this time, both through our limited email capacity and here on this message board
6) Despite this, very many people immediately began requesting charge backs and refunds - which we issued
7) People who had cycled for thousands of dollars jumped on the refund band wagon. We paid out thousands of dollars in refunds and chargebacks to people who had already cycled.
Because of the people who cycled multiple times and requested refunds, all of the funds are depleted. We gave back all of our reserve funds, all of our bank funds, and all of our profit. There are no funds left.
In accordance with the wishes of this forum as we recalled them, we made every effort to first reward the people who had cycled.
The promotion that we ran seemed to be a terrific way to bring in customers and help everyone have some fun, get some great items, and leave a little happier. Instead, it has bred an air of discontent, distrust, and fear.
While all of us can certainly understand the nervousness that comes from waiting, and I as a site owner can very definately empathize with the anxiousness that comes from waiting, I cannot understand the thing that has ultimately forced the ending of this program.
Cyclers requesting refunds and chargebacks.
I have seen that pattern that postings on this forum typically take, and am aware that many people will have negative and contradictory things to say. That is fine, even good, as all people should have a voice. However, it does not change the fact that this entire program was brought to an end because of greed. Not greed on the side of the owners, not greed from the honest customers, but the greed of a surprising number of people who chose to cycle and then request refunds.
To our honest customers, we thank you for your patience and truly appreciated your business, thoughts, and discussion. To the detractors, feel free and empowered to voice your thoughts, but know that the situation described is accurate, and the causes listed are the truth and will remain the truth despite external positing. We will not disclose the names of cyclers who received refunds, in accordance with our privacy policy and out of simple good faith and respect. Respect we most sincerely wish these people would have had for our hard work and honest good will, and respect we wish even more that they would have had for the community at large.

3 different hack jobs on different servers?? Yeah RIGHT! A matrix site is not that important that the hacking community would target it. This site was not that significant. Also paying out refunds to people that have ALREADY CYCLED?? How is that possible? Unless you NEVER paid out the free gift when they cycled to begin with. Sounds to me like they are getting confused in their own lies.

I feel your frustration, and I agree with you. These people are business owners, which means they need to be professional. You must channel your anger into action, and we need to act fast. Time is running out. Start reporting these sites to the Consumer Affairs Division, the Better Business Bureau, or the Attorney General's Office for the state they operate in. You could even contact the FBI for the closed matrix sites if you'd like. After all, a closed matrix site is a site that did not deliver on its promises of a free gift. A closed matrix site is no longer a "matrix", it is a PONZI. We are certain about that. Please, report these sites to the authorities. The more reports we send in, the more fruit we will see from our actions, and the more credibility will go to the various lawsuits out there on court day. Could you imaging being a judge for a matrix-site case, and there are several states that are cracking down on these things all at once? What would you think? That they are innocent?
