I used our search function (searching on ematrixusa) and came up with a bunch of hits. The above link is probably the most useful to you.

EmatrixUSA was sued a while back. View our "legal discussion" forum.

Ok, I'm a little late in reading the verdict, however, just reading line 24 should seem pretty obvious that matrix sites are illegial

The conduct of defendants as set forth above with respect to plaintiff and general public was a "unlawful" business act or practice within the meaning of section 17200 because the ematrixusa site and the other internet matrix sites associated with defendants constituted a "lottery" within the meaning of california penal code 319 and/or an "endless chain scheme" within the meaning of california penal code section 327

The next line they go to explain what a lottery is by california law. I'm going to read this whole thing before I go to sleep tonight, however, what are the arguments now that matrix sites are legal?

Now, I know that state laws are different and oversees laws are more different, however, if your operating in the states and it was just shown the state penal code that was being broken, isn't that a sign that your business might not be 100% legal even if you think its legal in your state?

Dreamer,
Good points. This would actually be a great new thread topic in our legal discussion area, so once you get a few observations, quotes, and links together feel free to post a new topic and hopefully it will be a fruitful dialogue with the supporters here.
