Here is an old article released by KTLA News on the September 11th-aftermath fundraising efforts. Surprisingly, someone was using a matrix site to maximize relief funds! Not a good idea, but it was interesting to see that the matrix sites were capitalizing from the tragedy.

I post this now because I wonder if any matrix sites will try a similar ploy to raise funds for the recent tsunami crisis.

Here is the article: "Willingness to Give Fuels Efforts to Take" (http://ktla.trb.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-091501scam,0,3650559.story)

IT has two funds started. Will use money donated to trade, and use as relief funds for victims. Must not be a high risk investment if they are going to use donations to trade with. This is sounding a bit unbelievable. :(

Ok, I'm withholding judgement on this program until they send me information on their system. However, if I want to help the cause, why would I send them money instead of contacting my local red cross or some other agency and see how to donate money for them?
