Well, I finally decided to dial up this number. A lady picked up and said it could either be her son or husband. She doubts it is her husband because he knows nothing about "the computer". She said her son doesn't live there right now and is 21. She took my number and said she would have him call me. I also let her know about the law suits and such.
Now this doesn't confirm if this is the correct person, but it seems close to where the registrant for the domain is at. Same name and same state. Hopefullly I will find out more information.
Edited by Arzel - I had to remove that personal information.

Here's a suggestion, how about making sure it is the correct number to the ACTUAL OWNER BEFORE you make a call and let whoever answers know you are an idiot. Why would you give someone advice to call and tell "whoever" that answers what is going on? I understand you are trying to track these owners down, but calling numbers at random and telling them someone else's business only shows that you have no class. Not to mention it gives the person you're looking for a "heads up" and gives them an opportunity to disappear even further. What you are doing is actually HELPING the shady owner get away. Nice job!

Also on a side note if they recieve enough phone calls and get annoyed, its very easy for them to collect your name and number and get you for harassment. I dont think calling the "owner" is the way to go.. Believe me its not going to accomplish anything and its probably going to screw up alot for you. You need to just keep going through the payment processors and your credit card companies and if that doesnt work I dont know what to tell you. You bought the e-books not the free gift as long as you recieved your e-books you really have nothing to complain about.

They could not be charged with harassment if they only call one or twice each... no matter how many different people called. If one individual called over and over... then there may be something to that harassment charge.
Also, if this is a fake number provided by the website it is not the customers fault that they may be bothering someone who has nothing to do with the matrix.

Well first of all, they gaurenteed the free gift. I so I did buy the free gift since I was gaurenteed it. Go read the faq page at bestdealsmatrix.com if you don't believe me.
And Maxpower covered the issue of harrassment. I actually told the lady that the Steven Vibbard name was on the account for the website and that somebody else might be using their info. I left her my name and number. I didn't harrass them at all.
Anyway, this persons name is located in the same state as the person on the hosting company listing, so it's a good lead. If this makes them run o well. I can't get anything from the payment processor and have waited to long to file with my credit card company.
I could send the info to the Watchdog's lawyer, but I am still not sure if I would like to get involved. Kinda sux that PayPal is so unhelpful though.

Sorry, but I had to remove the personal information. Feel free to post how you obtained it, but do not post that actual name and phone number.

Yes MoNkEy MaN X, If someone wants the info they can email you for it.
It's different if it's public information from a whois search for the owner of a website.

I read there TOS and it sounds liek he has no obligation to give you your money back. I did not see anything that said it was a guarantee. The TOS even states their refund policy. That is they rarely do it because they are selling ebooks.
Just another reason why you shouldn't get involved with matrixes. Hate to say I told you so.

You had better read up on your laws more.. It doesnt matter how many times they call if the person answering the phones feels harassed or threatened even by just the first call she can press harassment charges.. Also by posting their personal information and encouraging others to contact her without her consent is also harassment..
Also if it was a fake number its not that womans fault either and gives noone the right to harass her with tons of phone calls from strangers.
Sometimes I wonder who really does have less morals- some site owners or you matrix stalkers

BTW the FAQ guarantee means nothing at all. The guy says that he can give you your product during any time frame. I.E could happen in 2 million years.

he is correct in fact their actual TOS states:
free gift policy:
best deals matrix offers incentive to its custombers by entering them into a "free gift matrix." best deals matrix offers the matrices as opt in programs and under no circumstances must best deals matrix be considered merchants fo goods under this category. in the case of suspsected fradulent activity within these matrices, best deals matrix reserves the right to discontinue the membership of the member(s) suspected with full rights to criminally prosecute under the full extent of the law. each individual member must comply with rules and regulations of matrices as outlined below in "rules and gegulations of gift giveaway."
rules and regulations of gift giveaway:
entry into the matrix is a gift from us, based on good or services purchased from best deals matrix. we cannot be held liable for the outcome of the program. the matrix is our free gift to the customer and worth no monetary value. by entering into the matrices the you are agreeing to the terms of service and the rules and regulations of matrices outlined above. members will remain in the matrix until their "cycle time" occurs regardless of how long this may be. gift matrices are sole property of best deals matrix and customers are entered under the discretions of expo 4 matrix as a free gift. entry into a free gift matrix MUST NOT be constituted as a contract whether implied or other, by or between best deals matrix and the customer.
Only the FAQs state:
what type of guarantee is there?
there is a 100% guarantee on getting your items but there is no set time frame on how long you will have to wait to get you item.
and that is not their TOS. You have to go by what their TOS state because that is what you agreed to when you joined.
