Take a second and look at this website:
http://anysoldier.com/WhereToSend/
Dozens of soldiers contact this site and request stuff from civilians. There are so many requests, it seems like there is no way they could all get filled. At the very least, take 10 minutes and read through some of them to get an appreciation of what these guys are going through for US!
If you can spare some cash, take one of the soldier's addresses and send them a package. Before you freak out, check this site out:
http://www.treatanysoldier.com/CarePackages.cfm
It is the lazy-man's way of sending something to a soldier. Just pick the gift-basket you want to send, and pay. They do all the shopping, packing, and shipping. It allows you to input the address of where you want the item(s) to go, or if you are REALLY lazy, there is the option for them to pick a soldier for you.
It really doesn't matter if you support the war. If you're sitting somewhere right now, and you feel safe....thank these people. To use a quote I saw on one of those sites: Freedom isn't free!!!
