The auction watchdogs have achieved yet another milestone in auction reporting. We have now identified over 1000 fraudulant auctions on Yahoo, in addition to tens of thousands that we have reported at ebay. :applause:

Yahoo has done a fairly decent job at closing reported auctions, with a closure percentage of almost 87%. This shows that Yahoo cares about it customers and trading environment.

Honestly I haven't read this whole thread I'm too lazy :P

But I have been scamed on a yahoo! auctino where I bought an iPod photo for $200, payed and never received any package or reply from the seller. Amazing! I've filed a report to paypal and yahoo. paypal has deposited 34$ into my account, all that was left in the sellers account, and yahoo! hasn't even replied to my emails, that's the worst thing of all!

Did you buy an actual IPOD or did you buy information? I'm surprised that Paypal only deposited a portion of the price you paid back in your account, generally they will freeze the account to ensure that you will get your money back if you've been ripped off. Its weird also that i've usually found Yahoo is quite responsive to abuse reports and problem resolution (at least I have found that they are, but who knows) :)

I'd be interested to hear how this works out for you, keep us updated.

i bought the actual iPod. Paypal couldn't deposit more than what they deposited because there was no more money to take from the sellers account.

b y the way, i actually payed 340 for the ipod, not 200 :-(
