Hi I bought a item off of ebay because it sounded too good to be true, and I think it was now that i've been reading your web site. It was for an Alpine IVA-D900. It cost $12.95 and because I'm so stuped I bought a second item from a different ebayer so I would have a few links to select from, but I got the same 2 links from each sale(SO DUMB). Then I paid $100 USD (paid with paypal) to be put on a list of 24. I'm at the bottom and am only #14. I think I got riped off. Here are the links could you please give me your feedback. This is the site that I'm on there list.

Check your PMs Kezler. You got scammed.

Yes, this is a standard pyramid-matrix scam. You chance of getting your free gift is ZERO at your current position. You need 14 x 24 = 336 new signup behind you to get cycled.

FYI, the last person who cycle you need 336 x 24 = 8064 people to cycle him/herself out of the matrix.

Since you are new, you might be shocked by the number. Don't be, because matrix-sites are pyramid scam, that's why we are trying our best to warn newbies to stay away from them.

Your only chance of getting a "sponsored gift" (gift that sponsored by those behind you) is next to zero, UNLESS you join early (the first 2 signups), usually the first minute when the list open for "investment". :)

Therefore, only insiders or owner's friends or habitual speculators know the opening time of the list, so they will be the only winner (PLUS the owner, of course).

You better ask for refund from owner immediately. Then, write complaint to paypal and ask to reverse the charge. Paypal does not like matrix-site, so they will most likely to take your case. If all the above fail, contact your credit card company immediately.

Good luck!

Ycchen is 100% right. You can use our matrix calculator (left-hand menu) to tell you how long it will take to cycle.

#1: No swearing on the boards. Check out the forum rules. I'll let it go this time, since you probably didn't know. :)

#2: Did you file a complaint with Paypal?

Did you email PayPal or did you actually take the time to file a legitimate complaint? :head:

I think Circuit has the right path to follow, go through the formal complaint process with Paypal, I think its called "filing a dispute" or something like that. Once you explain your side of the story and point to the fact that the person you sent money to is running a matrix site (which is stated clearly in their TOS as a violation), I can't see why you wouldn't get a refund.

good luck!

Also mention that you got the information at Matrix Watch. They know us very well, since this site is suing Paypal for allowing these scams to take place.

I phoned them and made the claim

Yeah...phoning likely won't help. File a written complaint using the link I suggested.

Well done kezler, nice to see someone win for a change :applause:

If you have funds in your paypal account, get it out fast, as they have been known to freeze an acount after a chargeback from a credit card company.
