ebay item: http://tinyurl.com/5v59t

I've won the item but haven't paid for it. He's offering free shipping to Sweden.
If you look at his other items he hasn't sold anything and all of a sudden he pops out with loads of Xbox, ps2, hd, ipod and stuff. But I don't know, many people seem to buy his stuff so far.

Should I pay for it now or wait untill someone leaves feedback or something?

I looks ok to me, but I would pay with PayPal so if something goes wrong you can get a refund.

Yeah about refunds, is the seller the only one who can give it if something goes wrong and paypal was used? I bought a dvd once but never recieved it, payed with paypal. He didn't reply to my messages and I thought like what the hell and just gave him negative feedback. It was just $15 or so so it wasn't that bad, but could've I gotten my money back?
Sometimes when I pay with paypal the funds stays in my bank account but are not disposable untill after a time. What's that all about?

usually the way that Paypal handles refunds (or chargebacks) as they call it, is that you just file a dispute on the purchase. Each side is asked for their view on the issue, and Paypal acts as the mediator. They'll freeze the amount in the sellers account until its resolved. If it goes in your favor, you'll get your money, if not, you don't.

It used to be a longer and more painful process, but I hear they have gotten their act together and get things resolved pretty quick.

Good luck either way!

Err, he wants me to send money order now because "he can't get in his paypal".
Should I call it off?

My advise would be to only pay with paypal, funded from your credit card, NOT with funds you may have in your PP account. Paypal tend to side with the buyer when transactions go wrong, the seller will have to be able to prove your item was sent by a trackable method.

Paypal is listed on this auction as a method of payment, seller must accept this.

A money order cant be traced, its not safe.

Deffinately call it off. What that means is that his paypal account was already frozen for probable fraudulent activity. Consider yourself lucky. Don't trust this guy with a money order, because you will be getting yourself in trouble. If he has a problem with you, and reports you to ebay or whatever, just tell them that the auction agreed that you would pay with paypal, and since he cannot accept paypal all of a sudden, he has breeched the contract.

Ok, then what's the best way to call it off? Just leave him negative feedback and hope he doesn't leave one too?

Try this; start a NPS (non performing seller) with ebay, he has paypal as a payment method, and is now refusing to take PP.

Feedback, is the last thing you do,i guess you will get a neg anyway, its a fault in the feedback system both non performing buyers and sellers can leave it.

If you want to have a bit of fun with the seller, ask if you can collect and pay cash, i bet he comes up with a good excuse why you cant.

In that case, there is always an appeal process to have that negative feedback taken off your account. If it is left, then you just tell your story to ebay, and they review the case.

He has recieved negative feedback from four people by now. :)
I'm just gonna leave neutral feedback (since I didn't pay) and let someone else take care of him.
Thanks for the help!
