I'm curious about the following ebay listing (and several others like it). I presume it's a scam--it must be!

Can anyone tell me what this 'information' consists of, or the jist of the idea behind it?

A similar 'programme' can be found here:

My guess is that you guessed this one correctly, that its some sort of a scam. Nothing comes for free in this world, even as an insider ....

Can't find any information on this guy, if he is such a 'guru', don't you think somebody would've written something about him somewhere, or he'd be much better known? Exactly, he knows how things work in the electronics industry. People pay for the materials that get sold .... thats how all businesses should work.

My guess is thats its probably some 'pay-per-click' incentive type program that you have to invest 10000 hours into just to get a chance to get something for nothing. If it was easy, everybody would be doing it, and people wouldn't be selling the secrets to the business for $29.99.

Stay away, good catch!

this is a very old scam. The buyer will get a link to an ebook telling him to pretend he is starting his own business and to request a free sample from the manufacturer. The ebook will contain a sample letter the customer should use etc..

Well technically the concept isn't a scam, this company in question may be, but I've actually done this and HAVE received many free electronics (TV's, Stereo Equip, etc.) and other household goods, but it's not as cut and dry as they try to say it is. This way of getting "free" merchandise has been used for years, but you have to prove to the companies that you are a legit business yourself who is looking to sell their products, which is usually done by providing your reseller's license or business license number and placing a tentative order. I didn't get the 42 inch plasma tv's or entertainment center consoles that are advertised in those ebooks, but it can work for a lot of other small things, but most of the companies will make you pay for the freight to ship whatever it is to you. (Keep in mind that a lot of manufacturers are over seas and freight costs can be in the hundreds depending on the weight of the product and the cost to insure the shipment.) The biggest TV I've received was a 32 Inch and the biggest piece of stereo equipment were an amp & 2 Studio Monitors. Although nowadays a lot of companies are catching on to this type of thing and if you don't place an order, they will cut you an Invoice for whatever you received.
