Two sites that i am aware of www.fonesetc.com and www.offlinefones.com have statements on their sites saying that the Office of Fair Trading has advised them that theur sites are unlawful lotteries under the gambling act.
This is totally untrue!!!!
The gambling act has not yet completed its passage through Parliament and therefore cannot be used. I also have been advised by a government official that the OFT, or any other government department, would not use an act of parliament that had yret to become law.
These site owners are using it as an excuse to disappear with peoples money. How many more to follow?

These are the same types of schemes that US matrix site owners used in years past to close down their sites without notice ........ twisting things to their advantage and once again misleading consumers.

Its amazing ...

I will stand corrected, the gambling bill has passed through parliament, however, it does not take effect until 2006.
