Any word on what the current state of Gotmatrix is? Is there anything pending regarding law suites or anything of that sort? Has any one been able to contact Greg?

I don't think there has been any change. Last I knew they Ohio Attorney general was in direct contact with Greg, and he weaseled his way out of any confrontation with them. There were only ~12 complaints filed with the Ohio AG, which apparently was far too little.

A class action lawsuit was being considered by a California law firm, but it would appear that they have dropped the ball.

Overall, the lack of drive on the victim's part has lead to slow progress.

I think that Merc sums it up pretty well with that statement. Too many of the victims either:

1. Didn't really care about the $50 bucks they lost to Gotmatrix
2. Just wanted to forget about the whole thing and not bother with complaints
3. Were too proud to get involved with the movement here at Matrix Watch

Or, a combination of all three. Nevertheless, the momentum from Greg's victims never really materialized, which could mean that they didn't want to, or there never really was a large member base in the first place (i.e. the names were all made up on the lists).

Who really knows. The best way to get something going would be to start emailing hundreds of lawyers and get one of them to take your case. A lawsuit tends to get people's attention.

I think you forgot one Watchdog. I have seen several pro matrix people use this one, which makes me believe they all know they are all scams.

4. We don't want the government getting involved in the matrix arena, because we don't want them all to get closed down.

he he... :) A good point indeed. I'd forgotten that several of the matrix customers are actually matrix owners/supporters themselves. That must be an awful position to be in. Knowing that you need to get your $500 back, yet you can't because if you do you'll lose the other $2000 that you have in other matrix sites.

If you consider that the majority of the vocal members only had $25 tied up in GM, it is easy to understand why there never was any momentum generated. Much easier to forget about it and move on. Those that spent more with that site were well aware of what they were doing when spending there, and have taken their loss and moved on to the next thing. I can well imagine that the vast majority of GM members have already forgotten about the site and trying to recoup anything. Just my thoughts on the subject. :)

The forums are no longer there & have been broken for some time now. The rankings list is also broken. Perhaps Greg will finally close the site for good this time (if he is still around, that is).

Oh, I can bet you he is still around. In fact, he has been enjoying all the entertainment his faithfull supporters give him. I wouldn't be supprised if he closes and opens several more times. After all, I enjoy the entertainment somewhat also.

Here is what he does for entertainment.

__________________________________________________ _______________
He closes the site down.

He goes to forums and watches everyone start a lynch mob.

After about 2-3 weeks, he opens the site, and has a lame excuse, like his dog ate the website.

All the truely faithfull supporters sing his praises. I think I even heard a large roar (horrayyyyy) and then they sang "For he's a jolly good fellow."

Greg posts on the forum for about 3 days. Everyone gets their hopes up, and the truely gullable people start asking their friends to join the lines.

Then people start to ask why they haven't been paid even though they cycled. They say that they are willing to wait several weeks, because it was worth the wait to finally cycle.

Then Greg closes again, and everyone, including the gullable, start the lynch mob again.

The cycle (pun intended) continues.

Now, I will say it again. He has closed again. Can't you all see the cycle I just described? Please stop thinking he will pay you and start doing something for yourselves.

Although Concerned states it bluntly, the truth of the matter is that he is 100% right. Even when things REALLY started heating up on Greg last winter (calls from investigators, calls from the Ohio Attorney general, etc), he was able to fend them off and keep his site open.

The fact of the matter remains that very few complaints have been filed against Gotmatrix. Nothing will happen to Greg and Gotmatrix until a real movement forms.

As I've said before, I don't think it will happen. The little spenders have forgotten and the big spenders are on to bigger and better things. lol

Sisco50,

Unfortunately, I completely agree with you. That won't stop me from preaching to those who ask about Gotmatrix though. :)

Yes, I quite understand that. :) The matrix site activity out there is minimal now but still exists. Doesn't hurt to warn people about their track record. :)

Looks like Greg did somewhat of an update, I don't see the forum link anymore, I know the forum's been dead for weeks, but the homepage doesn't have the link to it anymore. The rankings work again (last time I was on the site I couldn't view some of them) I hope he's not thinking of trying to revive the site yet again..... :head: :shake: :nono:

Would not surprise me at all! And for the record I do have bigger and better things to do like kids, job, and life but I have not FORGOTTEN about how much Greg has jerked around a lot of people. I signed a form for Mr. Wilens with the knowledge any lawsuit won't probably get me much if anything BUT will hopefully bring some heat on Greg(owner of Gotmatrix) at some point for what he has done. If so I will be satisfied just for that. It's not the wasted money(though it hurts) as much as it is the deception and Greg's little smug attitude that irks me so badly! :head:
