Kim Goes to the UK at Members' Expense

I received the following from a YM member who wishes to remain anonymous. I can understand why. This is troubling. Apparently Kim is going to the UK this month, and YMMSS members are footing the bill. Incidentally, for non-YMMSS members, the hotel charges 80 pounds per week-end, including meals for their best rooms, not per night, and meals are not normally an extra cost.

Alll checks and money sent towards this is to be placed in a 'YM' account which he's opened. He also stated that any surplus money would be sent to YM to be put in the CPA. How can he have "surplus" money if the costs quoted are genuine, and why should the members who go to the conference have to pay for this event, when Kim will claim it as a business expense anyway?

The tickets at this stage are likely to be £15 per head to cover costs and
collected centrally with room costs between £60 to £70 per person per night
including full english breakfast (don't book these yet)
A wide range of bistro meals, bar meals and a la carte meals from £4 to £17
are available from within the hotel. Car Parking is Free and rail and Air
services are available to get there within 1 mile of the Hotel.
