I dont want to bog down the other thread to a ponzi debate, so if esto would still like to respond to ponzis we should do it seperatly so other members can make sure they get their questions answered.

http://www.contactpakistan.com/investment/investarticle13.htm

Ponzi schemes often have the following characteristics:

* The promoter promises very large returns on an investment, such as "double your money in 60-90 days."
* A "can't lose" scheme for making money that others have overlooked.
* Payments are made to a few early investors to prove that the investment isn't crooked. These fortunate few are known as songbirds, since they sing the praises of the scam to others, bringing in new victims eager to make the same kind of generous returns.
* The Ponzi scheme collapses when the number of previous investors seeking a return exceeds the number of new investors bringing in additional money.

Sounds like ymmss to me. A few things though.

Because of the commissions, more people sing the praises for ymmss because it appears that more people are getting paid. For a scheme this size, it needs more than a few members to survive.

The key difference is, that kim does not need to run off with the money since he is taking 25-50% of whatever comes in, so there is no incentative for him to flee just yet. That is an outrageous sum for fradulant activities, and that is the reason why most other ponzis dont have as long of a life span because the head is not as gready, and has to run away with the money when they can.

Has ymmss collapsed yet? I say it did when it left 90 days and hasnt returned. Will it ever totally disappear? I doubt it...there are too many people with too much vested interest in this scam to continue to prevent it from closing doors completely.

And, while not a point here, if ymmss is this new advertising thing, how come I havent seen any tv comercials or news paper adds introducing more people to ymmss? If its such a life saver, than wouldn't a cheap 30 minute infomercial get all the people to go there?

And, is there a way that a mod can move the ponzi related questions from the previous thread to this one so that those who dont care dont have to scroll thru pages of those related questions just to try to ask a question?

Very good site for info. I found the comparision between pyramid and MLM to be of special interest to me. Knowing the differences and being able to distinguish them in an offer is not always easily done. I am inundated with these types of offers on a regular basis and for the most part just delete them because I will no longer spend the time to DD them. Am I missing out on something good because I delete the offers? Maybe. But probably not! :)
