this was on another board figured you would want to read it:

8/4/03 NEWS : MatrixSale.com is now closing its doors. The reason to this was because of the lawsuit filed against our merchant account Ginix as many have suspected. There was an update due for July 25th which could not be met. We were forced to file bankruptcy and are returning office equipment and money to the state. The people whom purchased May - the closing of the company should call 1.408-942.7140 and ask for a refund. The people whom purchased March - April were filed on the bankruptcy paper and the state should either refund 50 - 100 % of your original purchase. No e-mails will be answered so please do not bother to e-mail us. Thank you for your time.

WOW, maybe I should buy that business. They really do a lot to try to sell it. Let's see, the business went bankrupt, they owe a lot of money, and they are not answering emails from their customers.

As for assets, let's see what I can get. NOTHING! They have to give all of their assets to the state.

Let's sum it up. I could buy this business that has already gone bankrupt, with no assets, and LOTS of angry customers. Their business plan is based on a ponzi scheme.

(yes I know that this hasn't been proved in court, but when it is proved in court, I would have to close up shop)

Given all of those facts including the fact that the business will be considered illegal, and there is a risk that I would have to close down when it is, I would value this business, or at least the website, at a cool 10 cents.

Please forgive my sarcism here, but why would they even try to sell that website given their bankruptcy story. Besides, whatever they make on the sale would go to the courts.

uuhhmmm... concerned Im not really sure what your talking about. The site isnt for sale- the name of the site is www.matrixsale.com. To my knowledge they are not trying to sell the site, they are just shutting down.

Either way, why would you want to buy that. It is associated with a failed company. Would you buy the name Enron? I'm not too sure that anybody would want that name when you can name your business anything else that has nothing to do with failure.

Perhaps he was thinking "matrix sales" closed and not matrixsales closed. The latter refers to matrixsales.com. I think that might be where concerned is mixed up. Perhaps we should include the .com/net/org from now on whenever we list a site name in the thread title. ??

The judgement from the lawsuit came out already?
Why were they filed bankrupcy? Can't the court take back the given-away gifts?

No the lawsuit hasnt been determined yet.. I would assume they filed bankruptsy because they are then not liable for there own debt and the courts or whatever pays off their debts for them or something like that, and besides just messing up their credit for the next 10 years they get to come out of this without really losing anything.. I dont know about the taking back of the free gifts...

If it is ruled out that they were doing something illegal, then bankrupcy will not protect them. These guys should be biting their nails. All of those customers... geez..

Bankruptcy will indeed cover them if they actually filed and included these as debts.
