Knowing our eBay watch dogs, they are probably already aware of these auctions, but there are a few on eBay.. In bold is what was entered for a search, the resulting URLs are posted here.

It may not come up, so here is where that advertisement leads:

Which auctions are you referring to as being a "scam" or of that nature? I just recently bought a 150" big screen tv projector off ebay from bigscreendreams. You get two 6x Fresnel Lens and the plans to build this projector which works with a tv or computer monitor. I'm really interested in giving it a try, as i've heard from others who bought it and said that it worked. It was only $15.00 with shipping and you get two lens. I'm not sure if you are referring to these auctions, but I will let you know how well it works when I get this item and set it up.

What are you trying to say about these auctions?

Yeah, these are not matrix auctions. I have seen them for quite some time now, and have been curious as to how they work.
My understanding (from what I remember of physics) is that two lens are required to revert the image back correctly, and that the tv or computer monitor is used as a projector. All logic tells me that the image will probably be quite dim, and somewhat grainy, but I am interested to see the results.
Also, I am curious as to how the image will project on a wall, the best projection screens are composed of glass beads, which are quite expensive in themselves.

I was not referring to the image-projector auctions that you see on those lists, I was referring to the 50" Plasma auctions, etc. I am very interested in these projector units though, and I hope you let us all know how it turns out.
Now, within that projector screen auction I saw:
Over $1,000 in Free Extras Included with Each Purchase
Including 25,000 e-Books & 900 pages of other info.
eBay won't allow us to list exactly what is included free with each purchase, but you can email us and we will send you a list.
What exactly did this mean. Also, I still want to alert the eBay watch dogs about the first couple links up there.

I know many sellers before had the 3x lens, but now most of them have 6x lens which projects a better picture. Also, If you get the fresnel lens, I read they use them in some light houses to project light across lakes. This is the kind of lens I purchased (6x fresnel). So, depending on who told you the image quality is poor, it also depends on what lens they were using and the quality of the materials they used to build it. I will let you know how it works out, as it will be another week or two. It's worth the money if it can project a decent image. I hear it works best with a white screen, such as the screens you see in schools they use with projectors, or a white wall. Anyway, I will let you know how it turns out and maybe get some picture of it. :)

I bought the lens about a year ago, but they are still sitting on my desk waiting for me to do something with it. Sounds like a good idea. I didn't get all the free prizes though, which I'm bummed because I need some good ebooks and haven't found any sites that offer them. :D
