Does anyone know if myconsumersurveys.com is a scam or not? Want to make side money but don't want to lose initial registration fee.

It is $60 to join the thing. They charge you once a year thereafter:
Go read the Terms:
This agreement gives subscriber one-year of unlimited access to the CS System for a one-time charge at the prevailing rate stated on the homepage. After one-year, subscriber may be given the option to renew for an additional fee at the then prevailing rate.
What do you suppose the "prevailing" rate is?

You should never pay any fees to make money by doing any kind of work. I know I never had to pay an application fee to get my job. Why should you pay a fee to make money by doing these surveys? That is obsurd.

It's absurd and it's also a ripoff. I once paid $40 to apply for that sort of thing and haven't made a nickle yet. Been waiting about 5 years now. LOL

I wouldn't trust a program like that, there are alot of other consumer survey sites out there that you can join for free, that actually do pay for your opinion. One good example is go-zing surveys, I have a friend who has made some money from it in the past, although you can't just take whatever survey you want, you have to be approved or invited or something like that, so it is selective. Remember though that you're certainly not going to be able to quit your day job doing that type of thing ....

Let me try and clear up how one might get paid occasionally. I still get the emails requesting me to take surveys to this day. This happens because I paid $40 to some referral company some 5 years ago. The vast majority of the surveys I am offered start off by saying that I will receive $100, $500 or whatever the amount if I complete the survey. Some are as small an amount as $5. But that is not the point. The point is that when you click on the url to go do the survey, you find that ONLY ONE CASH PRIZE will be AWARDED! Yes, you have to WIN it. You do not EARN it by completing the survey! In my opinion, no one receives the cash prize. There is no mention of anyone ever winning the money. There is no way to verify anything, one way or the other. I believe this is wrong. :(
The referral company I sent $40 to is probably not to blame. They did their part by allowing me access to the entities that are requesting surveys. Their list is extensive. You can sign up for as many as you want. I signed up for about 20 that interested me at the time. I actually did a few surveys, but never heard another word from anyone afterwards. I can picture 10,000 people doing a survey for a chance at $100. I can't picture them giving the $100 to anyone because there is no way to verify anything. :(
Some of the companies asking for survey takers do offer products instead of cash but I don't know how that works. I really don't care for a sample of a new potatoe chip being sent to me in the mail so I never tried those. :)

Gozing is free...but the majority of surveys pay you $1...for 15 minutes....not worth it
...and you only get a survey sporadically
globaltestmarket is also free.....has paid me anywhere from $5 to $25 US......and i probably get 3 to 5 surveys a week.....so not too bad
pureprofile is also pretty good
the best ones are the medical ones if you work in that field....they pay pretty big...but you take about 1 hour to complete a survey
the majority of survey companies offer prises.....ive never won....so i gave them up as a bad joke.....waste of time
also if you can get into focus groups.....you may have to travel...or do online chat room surveys...but these pay anywhere up to $250 for 2 hours work....but they are very far and few between
I hope that helps...... but never ever pay to join surveys.......if you need anymore free survey sites.....pm me
