A new rule is in place as annouced here (http://www.ymforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=22693) in which it states that EPCs can't be sold for less than half the original cost on the new retail site. Since they have been selling for less than 1% on their own auction site, it's unlikely that anyone would even bother trying to sell them for half price.

Presumably this rule is to prevent the embarassing situation of retail advertisers seeing how they got ripped off by pay 100 times more than the could have.

The embarassing thing was the 1% was overpriced. They are no longer being sold on ymauctions.

Currently there are 5 active auctions. No bids.

That statement alone should make it
ridiculously obvious that the auction
site was put up simply as a distraction
and a stall tactic to keep the sheep
believing.

lol lol Any one of us here with a few
bucks invested in some PPC advertising
could do better than that with a slapped
up auction site. What a complete and
utter joke.

Retailers will know soon enough how
poorly this advertising venue performs.

Currently there are 5 active auctions. No bids. ...and all are by the same seller. The true believers have such a short term memory of how it was going to compete with eBay. Never mind that, they are all focused on how the retail site will be the next Google cash cow. Oh well, in a couple of months there will be something new on the drawing board, and the game continues...

It just goes to show you what a complete & utter joke ymmss was from the start. Where are all the cheerleaders now, I bet you wont hear much from them as they are all starting to realize what a joke they were from day one.

I was looking at the month old ads on ymauctions, and in the past 30 days, there has been 122 auctions, from over 2500 members. Out of those 122 auctions, 8 of them sold. Of the 8, one was for $2500 for 2500 EPCs, which reading the questions to seller on the page raises suspecion that it was a legit sale. The questioneer was heavily promoting how wonderful the EPCs are.

Now, scale that to 25,000 which stasite wants you to believe, and that would mean out of the 1000 auctions placed, only 80 of them was sold.

Of course, ym is such a tight family. Why wouldnt somebody wanna buy from a ym member on their auctions? No sarcasm here, but if MW had an auction site, I would much rather buy from a member here than on eBay. So, that shows how little faith these people have.

And finally, in their brochere, the question was how do i know how well my ad is doing. They were promoting the back office so you can see click thrus, and most importantly time spent ideling on ur ad. The advertising I've ever done, the most important thing is the amount of sales i get per ad, not if somebody forgets that the page is open for a week.
