Whats the deal with Gratis?

I'm wondering if anybody is still participating in the Free Ipod (or similar) scheme ... since it seems that Gratis is now marketing it using the name "free-pay.com". I have to wonder also why they changed the name, and why its not marketed the way it was last year if it was so successful. In its time, it was huge, all over everywhere .. in forums, on newsgroups, in emails, on ebay ......... no you don't hardly see anything on it.

Anyone know what happened to all the people on the different 'branches' of the free-ipod trees since it seems to have gone away? These are the people who probably got a few referrals, but never really completed it. My guess is they have alot of offers that they are still paying for, and no free ipod ... :confused: :confused:

Our advice for all this "free XXX" site is not to waste your valuable time on it because you are more likely to not get anything from them.

Matrixfool, keep us posted on your progress and the effort you put into the scheme.

If you could kindly make the "process" more transparent, other can make a better decision whether to join or not.

Matrixfool, Just for the record, Gratis have changed their name cos their name stinks in the US, they do not send out free ipods, they send out your email address and you start to get bombarded with spam.
I saw a site that had researched them, nobody has even received an ipod, camera etc.
People on the site who have supposedly received items have been paid off to appear.
One lad was promised a $150 on a credit card (Which he received) to have his picture on the site stating he had received an ipod yet when the site was investigated and the guy was contacted, he came clean.
And with regards to your comment "my friends are still receiving items, I find that very hard to believe cos if they are mate, they are the only people who have (NOT!!) :nono: .
More like they are still receiving spam cos thats all your going to get of Gratis.

OMG! Not the freepay.com scam again. To all Mac-Heads do read! Just to let everybody know freepay.com is a joke! You sign up, and then you become a victim of spamming in high volume email blast. See this number "?r=22550511" behind the .com/ forward slash symbol? That is the person who just posted the spam message to all of us. They get a commission, or points for something of value depending on how many of us they can convince to sign up. There is a lot of spam complaints via freepay.com plus I never heard of anyone actually winning anything, much less getting something for nothing.

This is just another way corporate America will get your personal information.

There is an army of websites now doing this free IPOD caper, doesnt that tell you something cos I can tell you something "you dont get nothing for free in this world :shake: and if it looks too good to be true (free IPOD) then it isnt true, its a scam. :applause:
Also, there are a lot of ads on goog telling you its not a scam but if you click through the link you will see the r=22550321 reference and these people are affiliates receiving commision. :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

Plus there are phishing scams related to the free IPOD blog so beware or you could get fleesed as well as spammed.

Do what I did mate, Go out and buy one, my bank account is still intact and I am not getting spammed on a daily basis. :D
