Ordered a camcorder for £319.99 last Thursday 11 Nov. Something made me a bit suspicious about the site and did some research on the internet to unearth all these problems.
Sure enough contacted my credit card company and had been charged £345.12 immediatley. I tried to use the telephone number but never received any reply - just a message saying mailbox was full. After waiting for live chat for 2 hours finally got through to be told they cannot accept cancellations other than by telephone - they could not give me any other contact numbers except fax number.
Having read all the threads in this forum I emailed everyone and sent a fax and the most helpful person I found to be was Max (mmanikian@nepcodirect.com). After Emailing him last Friday - I received a response apolgising for the inconvenience along with an email confirming cancellation of my order and an email confirming my refund and sure enough within a week I have been refunded the full amount, all but £17.90 of it which I will be chasing after this.
Hope this helps eveyone - don't give up and follow all the contact info on this forum and you should get there in the end!!!!!!!!!!! :head:

I bought into the site as well, I buy things from the net alot, but this one looked good.
anyway.
I bought a canon a520 powershot for £129.95 and was billed for £141.02 about 4 days later.
I was sending emails and the form in the "contact us" page, but I got no reply.
I also tried to cancel my order as soon as I seen the difference, so I sent them another form from the "contact us" page and sent emails to Max as some people have said, inquiries, order_review, jparadies & smccorison all at either nepcodirect.com or mydv.co.uk, I got the emails from this site.
I have had no response so far, but I don't like the looks of it so far. I may well put a webpage up to warn other of the site.

Hi ik
Hope you get some response from mydv. As I and some others have received refunds (albeit not in full) there is some hope.
I've also been thinking of ways to warn others of this company. I'm sure many have been directed to the site via Google Adwords. In my case I searched on 'sony psp uk' and up came mydv as the no. 1 link. Mydv are paying for this sponsored position.
I've contacted Google to complain and they have asked for more details. It might not come to anything, but I've passed on my experiences of mydv to Adwords.
As UK Trading Standards seem powerless, it might be worthwhile for everyone who has suffered at the hands of mydv to try to pursuade google to pull the sponsored link.

Damn I wish I had found all this earlier, but little did I know. Since they are well advertised and professional looking.

I too was enticed by the Google sponsored link for mydv but I wasn't sure how to complain about it. Anyone trying to find a psp online should go to www.psp-deals.co.uk - they send you email alerts when stock has come into various places such as Game/HMV. I eventually bought one from Game after such an alert, and they're an absolute dream to buy from. In future I'll stick with well-known sites even if I have to pay a little extra :applause:

I have mentioned this in a couple of places, but for those of you who are new to the forums, if you feel you have been misled or scammed by this company (or any company for that matter), we provide an extensive list of public and private agencies where you can file a complaint. Check the list out here:

It is also available via our "Get Justice" link (see the main menu).

I replied asking when I shall recieve the full refund, but in a kind way.
I hope this means that I am getting a full refund.
ways of noticing people are adding a not to your forum signatures to warn members of other forums about them. also I would make a thread in all forums I belong to so that they get highlighted in a search.
You could make a name and shame website.
I will keep you all posted on my situation.
I have got 4 email addresses, if you email me, I shall give you them, I just bombarded the 4 emails with cancelation requests, all the same email, nice and to the point, and explaining why you are cancelling, and what you expect of them, and quote your rights of this country, e.g. cancelling within 7 days of purchase, and that you have informed your credit card company about them and the overpayment.

I got a reply yesterday from MyDV.co.uk after my cancellation email I get this:
Dear ...,
We apologize, however, our warehouse is currently backlogged with shipments due to an extremely high order volume. This has caused the delays in your shipment. We have confirmed that a shipment request is in place with them and will be processed through shortly. We have also requested that this shipment be prioritized. Upon DHL's pickup of your shipment a tracking number is assigned and reported to us. As soon as we receive this information, it will be forwarded to you via email. Until we receive this tracking numbr we are unable to give a definitive delivery date.
Once we receive any further information on this order from our warehouse, you will be notified.
Right now, because of the popular demand for the Canon A520 Powershot 4.0 Megapixel Digital Camera.
Let me work on getting back to the warehouse and complain to them that they are taking too long. This is totally unacceptable. But you can be sure, as soon as we get it in, we will get it out to you.
Please contact us via phone to resolve any issue. We shall be very glad to assist you.
Thank you for shopping with MYDV.

well, I replied letting them know how dissapointed I was to get an automated email like this when my order was to be cancelled. and let them know that I have sent a complaint and my cancellation email, their acceptance of the cancellation email, and this email to my credit card to further pursue the dispute.
I have no response since.

I got a refund after I said I was getting in touch with my Credit Card company.
they took ut £141.02 and refunded me about £120, I was not happy and sent them another email saying I wanted the rest and was getting back in touch with my credit card company, and contacting my solicitor, as this company cannot pay their debts they should be made bankrupt.
I got a reply within 2 days and another refund of £15 this was only £0.50 short, I suppose I can handle that.
if you have internet banking take snap shots of the transactions, and that shows them what they are not paying you. keep at them.
also email all of the emails to mydv that you can find on this site. whether it says mydv on them or not, most of them are neosomething direct
I am happy to be finished with myDV.co.uk
although I found www.allposters.co.uk are the aexact same, charging in £ but you really pay in $

The fact that they withheld .50 cents is totally ridiculous. If you would have had your CC company process the chargeback, you would have received 100% of your money within the hour, and would not have gone through the hassle of calling MyDv and then waiting for them.
That is just my 2 cents.
