I unfortunately, placed an order with MYDV.co.uk last night before I found this website. :shake: The only reason I started looking is because I tried to ring them to see what the delivery time was. Rang the number and was diverted to a call centre in USA whos mail box was full.
I did get through eventually on another number but they said the order hadn't got to them yet. They also informed me the company was in Boston!!! I am really concerned that I will not be getting the goods. I paid 259.99 by credit card and have checked with the card company and they have authorised 261.35. Slightly over I know but nothing major like some other have had. Can anyone pls tell me anything good about this company and if I will see my camcorder or money again. The card company cannot do anything until the transaction goes through which is a bit daft. Please Please help :weep:

Hi Elliee, afraid i've been sucked in too, although i placed an order on the 26/10 for an ipod and a psp, i have received the ipod but not the psp, i've tried to contact them today by phone (message saying inbox is full), also by e-mail on a number of occasions ( no response ) and live chat but apparrantley that's not working either. As my last resort i'm waiting for the 30 days clear of the debit, so i can claim the money back from my bank, i only wish i'd used my credit card and not my debit card , so i don't know where i'll stand, just have to wait and see i suppose :(

Hi Carlos, It appears to be that there is a big problem with PSP deliveries from what I can see. I tried the live chat as well and couldn't get through either. I am getting more depressed by the hour!! I have found out there is a website where you can check where the company is actually registered if they have a uk domain. www.networksolutions.com/whois/ - I know it won't help us now but at least in the future we can check, I really hope you get your goods ok.

hi Elliee

just got off the phone to mydv, i've cancelled my order and demanded a full refund including the over charged amount of £18.55, i've also asked them to confirm this by e-mail immediately but whether they do or not is another thing. I'll keep you posted with the outcome of this. :)

Hi Carlos
To be honest I feel like doing the same but I only ordered the stupid thing yesterday and if I dont give them the chance to send the goods within 10 days I don't know where I will stand with the credit card company. I will let you know as well what happens with me. By the way I have sent an email to the BBC already, Some others have contacted WATCHDOG so the way I see the more e-mails they get the better.

I have just received an e-mail from their cust care, saying they have sent my order to the cancelation department to cancelled the order on my behalf and that i will receive another e-mail to confirm this has been done shortley.

FINGERS CROSSED!!

Elliee if you've only ordered your goods yesterday and ring mydv today, they will tell you they have not processed your order as yet, if i was you, i would phone your credit card company and cancel you card immediately, then they can't take any money from your account

Hi Carlos
Tried that one. I have just got off the phone to MYDV, I tried going through to their finance dept but he said he cannot put me through to them. The credit card only have an authorisation at the moment. They havent paid MYDV yet and cant do anything until it is actually paid and I havent got the goods. I expect that is to stop people messing companies about. MYDV have said that there is a probelm with the PSP. Whats causing the problem is everyone wants one. They can't keep up with the demand. What did you order? Mines a camcorder which he has said should be ok. All I can do is keep my fingers crossed. I am most probably being 'fed a line' like everyone else but unfortunately there is not much else I can do at the moment. :head:

Hi Bluestar
When I spoke to them they told me that they always send the correct charging unit for the model and if not they will replace it. Is your a 110v one then? This is getting worse by the minute.

I ordered an apple ipod, which with all honesty i have received, i also ordered a psp which i havent received. The most annoying fact is that they don't notify you if there's gonna be a delay, their customer service is shocking to say the least. I first rang them on the 7nov to say i had rec the ipod but no psp, they told me they would be depatching it the following day, again after a few days rec nothing, spoke to someone called Linda via live chat, fobbed of again said there was a delay and would be shipped out following monday, express delivery, again, nothing, so last thursday another live chat with Sandra, who yet again tried to fob me off, after a few hums and rrrr's she got a supervisor to call me called Calvin Fox who promised i would have my order within the next 7 days which is up today and guess what, havent rec a thing, so i've cancelled my order.

Hi Carlos

Was the charging unit that came with your ipod the right one for the UK?
