Article appeared in an English national paper the Daily Mirror on Thursday November 24 2005 (page 29):

TRADER IS VERY DV-IOUS
Online shop MyDV looks as if it is based in Britain. Its website ends "co.uk" and it has an inner-London "0207" phone number. But the phoneline is diverted to the United States and the website, mydv.co.uk, is registered to someone in Massachusetts. Which is a problem for UK customers who've been overcharged or have ordered goods that haven't turned up.

Marie Doran, of Luton, bought a Sony camcorder advertised for £320, had £343 taken from her debit card and, after being told that delivery would be late, cancelled the order. She's still waiting for a refund......

Mick Quin, of Bebington, Merseyside, ordered a Fuji digital camera on October 17 for £105. MyDV took £113 and Mick says: "Since then, I've heard nothing."

MyDV staff do not answer the phone but, after waiting 40 minutes, we finally got through to its web chatroom, hoping to solve the mystery of where this outfit was based. "Could you tell me your registered office address?" we asked. It was a question no genuine business would mind answeringbut MyDV refused to reply. We repeated the question and were met with more silence. So we asked something else. "One of your customers, who contacted the Daily Mirror, said: 'Please warn the public not to deal with these thieves.' Do you wish to respond?"

MyDV didn't......which tells you all you need to know.
