I have seen a couple of posts suggesting the following:

1: Some or all of the contact phone numbers for MYDV are no longer working
2: The Online chat feature is disabled

Can anyone confirm or deny these reports? Has anyone been in direct contact with MYDV in the last 12 hours or so?

I have just spoken to them regarding my refund on the psp I refused so they are still there I am afraid.

Interestingly the first guy think it was Stuart said that only 5-10% of customers are overcharged. Really I said, I though it was more like 100%.

After much discussion I spoke to Sandra who promissed me the earth and said I would get my refund within 5 days. One thing with this company their customer service team are so polite, no matter how hostile you get with them and I can get quite hostile, they never bite back. I feel sorry for these guys in a call centre in India being paid peanuts while their bosses in the US reap the reward.

The two numbers at the top of the mydv contacts thread work periodically, quite often get a mailbox full message. Live chat seems to have been disabled.

I just called to check the status of my refund, apparently there were delays due to Thanksgiving and the banks being closed.... So instead of 7-10 days it will be 10-14 :(

I tried these numbers:

0207 993 4698 - mailbox full
0207 993 4696 - got through straight away

The operator ended the call with "have a wonderful day", coming from the company that has caused so much stress it almost made me laugh out loud.

Anyway, fingers crossed!

Thanks for clarifying. There is no doubt that MYDV is still around. The things mentioned in my first post were surely due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

I managed to contact them yesterday via the phone (0207 993 4696) and chat. Had to keep trying for about an hour though...

There was no Hiatus... their customer service department (consisting of 3 employees using a number of different alias) was run out of Waltham, MA, USA offices until a few weeks ago when they outsourced their customer service department to India. No hiatus, just turning more of your stolen money into their profits.

That 5-10% figure could be true, although I doubt it. I'm also very skeptical of percentage-based arguments, especially since if MyDv has enough customers, 5-10% is quite high.

It could be the case that 5-10% of customers are the ones causing the stir online, although it has yet to be revealed why there is no explanation for why the other 90-95% of customers are not running into the same problem.

In addition, it appears that shipping "gray" products is the standard protocol, and I don't think that only 5-10% of cutstomers are dealing with that problem as well.

Those "only 5-10%" excuses only go so far as you can prove them. Furthermore, when you have thousands of customers, there is a big gap between 5 and 10%. If the statement was really true and thoroughly researched, then a more accurate figure would have been provided. A better way of serving these few customers would be in place as well, since according to MyDv, the number is not that high.

I find it hard to believe it is only 5%-10% Such an opperation would theoretically be using the same processing system for all orders, and if it is indeed an issue regarding exchange rates, most if not all are experincing the same issue. It is probably more likely that most are not reporting the difference, perhaps thinking that they are still getting a good deal, or most are not commenting on forums such as these.

The fact that all, or almost all comments here also seem to be related to "grey" products would implie that all they sell are "grey" product. It is statistcally unlikely for all overcharges to also be "grey" if only some of their product is "grey".
