I must admit I am a happier bunny today. :)
I checked my credit card on-line and lo and behold I found a refund from NEPCO for my cancelled order :applause: Its taken a few weeks of persistent badgering but I now have a satisfactory outcome. I hope this gives some hope to others still waiting showing that you can get your money back.
These guys will need to up their game on the customer service front before they start making any money. But whatever happens to them never again from me.
I am going to order my camera from somewhere else and restrict myself to those online companies recommended on the manufacturers online list. I may end up paying a few quid more than the cheapest online sites but I can't stand the thought of repeating the pain and worry of the last few weeks again.

I'm assuming that you received a refund for the correct amount?

I know this is splitting straws, but was it actually a "refund" from myDV, or was it your cc company removing the debt from your bill (as they are legally obliged to do if you ask).

The refund actually came from MyDV not the credit card company. The actual name on the refund was NEPCO which is the MyDV group name.

I hope fo you that they are good.
Have you had any mail confirmation that a refund has been processed? If so you should be just a few days away from your money. If not I would get onto them.
It takes them 10 days it seems to process a cancellation (goodness they are ssslllloooooow) and put a refund in the system. The banks do take a few days to process the transaction into your credit card account.

hi i to have received a refund from mydv, although not for the full amount, i'm still £7.40 out of pocket
it has taken them over 2 weeks to autherize this partial refund, i'm not sure if it was through constant badgering them on the phone or whether my credit card company has intervened in any way as they where contacted when my concerns over the way they do business was brought to their attention.
my advice would be bombard them with e-mails and phone calls, and also contact your card company by post, and add some print outs from sites like this with other peoples experiences, to show your concerns about this company.

How do you Chat Live with them??? When I click on the chat button I just get a screen that asks your name, email and message with a "send" button. After clicking send, the window closes!!
Just tried ringing 0207 993 4698 and 4696 but both are long ring then "mailbox full" message.
Any ideas please???

Occasionally it is not possible to do live chat, presumably because it is too busy. I found the best time to phone was about 8.30am.
The cancellation department is supposedly only available between 7.30am and 5pm. You cannot call them directly, but can only be put through during these times.
If you are not calling to cancel, you can also get through easily after 6pm.
Hope this helps!

I think it would be worth you trying this number - it seems to be direct line in NEPCO's headoffice.

Thanks for the info! The number is for the order fulfilment dept who can't deal with refunds. The guy who answered said that mydv were genuine and had just 'grown a lot quicker than they expected and weren't coping very well'! He gave me another number, 00-1-508-340-0053 for a Matthew something or other who might be able to help. I tried ringing but got through to voicemail. Will try again later.

I too seem to have been ripped off by this company, I feel sick to the stomach. firstly like everybody else I was charged more than the £169 for the PSP that I ordered from them. I was interested to read one of the comments from somebody else that's having or had the same problem in that the credit card company can help. Is that true can I maybe get a refund from my credit card company for goods not received.....

Hi all, just to let you know that I have received a refund after constant phoning, live chat and email to myDV. The refund finally came 14 days after they confirmed cancellation of my order. The refund however did not cover the total amount they charged my card but was more than the invoice amount. I am now waiting for the rest of my money - but i'm certainly happier than I was 2 weeks ago. The best advice I would give is to actual call them and keep trying until you get through - then when you do, insist on a refund.

Hi everyone, after peristent e-mail, live chat and phoning and then lodging a complaint with the finance department that the refund was taking too long, I received this, the sender was "NEPCO Refund Department":
This is an update regarding your recent refund request with our company. A refund was placed today to the credit account initially used for your purchase. These funds will appear on your credit statement within the next 2-3 business days. Due to the time it takes for this refund to process through both our's and your bank, we ask that you please take this processing period into consideration. Please check your account accordingly. If you have any further questions, you may reach the refund department at: order.review@mydv.co.uk . Please let us know if there is anything we can help you with in the future. Thank you for your business, NEPco Refund Department
Hopefully this saga is coming to an end!!!

Well lets hope your problems are coming to an end Prawnstar!
I am still owed over £2000, and I am:-
6+weeks after my initial fateful interaction with myDV
3 weeks since my order was cancelled
2 weeks since myDV emailed me saying carrier would pick up my useless camera (NTSC format)
9 days since the useless goods wre actually delivered back to myDV in USA
The delays seems like an age when you are owed money. I am emailing frequently, but find the phone lines hopeless.

That is the text of the mail I got a few days before the amount was credited to my credit card. So I hope that it will be the same for you. Well done for getting this far.
