I CONTACTED MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY THIS MORNING AND THEY ARE WELL AWARE OF THE PRACTICES OF MYDV THEIR OVERCHARGING AND GOODS NOT TURNING UP. THEY ARE GOING TO SEND ME A FORM TO FILL IN AND THEN THEY WILL BE ABLE TO CLAIM BACK THE MONEY THAT THEY HAVE TAKEN. SO ANYBODY ELSE OUT THERE WHO HAVE BEEN DUPED LIKE ME, CONTACT YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY 10 TO 1 THEY ARE ALREADY AWARE OF MYDV. THEY SAID IF THEY GET ENOUGH COMPLAINTS THEN MASTERCARD WILL HAVE TO INVESTIGATE THEM...

Hi Carolann154 - I have been keeping my credit card company informed of the situation with Mydv. They confirmed that they knew about Mydv in mid October by way of an internal memo. It's a shame credit card companies can't post warning messages to their customers on their web sites about possible 'dubious' traders - but it's probaby not allowed!

It is odd that my credit card company have been somewhat off-hand about my complaints to them about MyDV despite them being part of the Mastercard franchise.

Hi Carolann

I also contacted my credit card company this morning which is also mastercard and again they were quite aware of this company MYDV. I am just waiting for the forms from mastercard. I e-mailed MYDV this morning for about the 15th Time explaining that what they have done is illegal I told them that i had contacted mastercard, trading standards and consumers direct as well as my lawyer any way having tried various times to call these people without sucess i have just recieved a call on my mobile from someone in India explaining how sorry they are and that they are going to refund my money within 4-5 days. I explained that they have broken the LAW by taking more money than what i was meant to pay. My reciept from MYDV said £169.95 the amount listed on their site, however they actually took £182.61. I have told them just like everyone else has im sure " That they are a disgrace" I will wait and see if i get a refund in the next 4-5 days in any case i will still keep on with my complaint.

You would think if the credit card companies are aware of the problems with mydv transactions that they wouldn't let any transactions go through to them in the first place, because it would save them a hell of alot of trouble having to refund peoples credit card accounts when they don't receive the goods
