Hi just to let you all know that the line is working today. Hurray!! Just got through on 0207 993 4696 - Amazing I know :applause:
I called about my refund, which they said they were doing, HA HA. Anyway this guy on the phone tried to convince me that MYDV was a reputable company and they would not rip me of. He also said that my refund was being processed. We will see. When I got off the phone from laughing lol I thought I had best let you guys know that the phone is on. Good luck.

I think you are a PLANT
I just did a search for 0208 993 4696 and ha ha what comes up - THE HOUSE OF PARLIMENT .
SO CAN WE TRUST ANYONE CLAIMING REFUNDS OR GOODS ?
DON'T WANT TO BE PARANOID but are these postings adding to the scam?

The number is 0207 not 0208. And I have got through on this number a few times. You just need to be persistent.
All the people I have encountered on here are simply trying to help, and questioning their motives seems out of order to me... I mean, who knows if you are for real? The only thing we can do is give each other the benefit of the doubt.
Sorry if that is harsh, I know how frustrating and stressful dealing with myDV can be, but this forum is the thing that gave me hope throughout, and helped me secure a refund...
Now I am helping in taking action against myDV. Something else made possible here!

Living the MyDV nightmare brings bad thoughts to us all. I suppose It would not be unreasonable to expect some disinformation if the scammer is as clever as I think he is.
I am glad this one is just down to a typo and stress. Let us all stick together. Talking to you all has been a comfort to me. ;)

Well since my 25 min conversation with them yesterday, I have had five emails from them in the past 24 hours!! They said they would keep me up-to-date with my refund and PSP progress - and they have. Looks like the refund IS happening. Just one thing on the PSP, it suggests a further delay in receiving it. Yesterday, I gave them a deadline (and he agreed) for the 13 December. So if it is not here by then, I will seek a refund on the whole thing.
I managed to buy a PSP yesterday over the counter from CarPhoneWarehouse which naturally is UK spec. So I just need to sort out this mess with mydv and hopefully put it behind me!!
One last thing (and I have said this before) remain cool but firm when talking with mydv staff. They do respond to things (and try and convince you to leave the order in place), but overall they have progressed things like my refund.

The numbers all say "You have dialed an invalid number".When I call them now.
What will come of all this?

anoter thing we can all do is contact our local trading standards office were we live and also get in touch with the BBC consumer program.

A few people have contacted BBC Watchdog, as far as I am aware no-one has heard anything back, but the more people that do so, the more likely they are to investigate...
In terms of trading standards, as far as I am aware the UK authorities have little power, as myDV - and other Nepco operations - trade in the USA.
The best option we have in the Attorney General's Office. Again I would urge people to contact them and file a complaint.
I hope that everyone has a good Christmas. And that myDV have not spoilt it for too many people...
