I have find out some very interesting things out about mydv.

1) Both the live chat and 0207 are connected to call centers in Indian.
Nick: Can you confirm (as I already know) the orders are sent via Kuehne + Nagel
Lisa: I am sorry.I do not have that information.
Nick: Do you know anything about the company you work for?
Lisa: We are the contact center for MYDV based in Bangalore,India

2) Goods sent from mydv go via a company called Kuehne + Nagel (a warehouse / distributor) - orders have to be sent from Nepco / Mydv to Kuehne + Nagel who then dispatch using DHL.

3) Bill at Kuehne + Nagel (00 1 508 520 0060 ex 211) has many more contact telephone numbers for staff at Nepco / mydv.

4) Max Manikian (who seems to be the most helpful person at Nepco) can be contected on 00 1 508 479 8666.

I don't think mydv / nepco are scamming anyone but they're very incompetent.

THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE BY THE FACT THAT THEY ARE PRETENDING TO BE A UK BASED COMPANY WITH A UK TELEPHONE NUMBER, HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD HAVE ORDERED FROM THEM HAD THEY KNOWN THE GOODS WHERE BEING SHIPPED (PROVIDING YOU EVER GET THEM THAT IS) FROM THE USA AND THAT THE GOODS WOULD NOT BE UK COMPATIBLE OR THAT THE TELEPHONE NUMBER THAT THEY WERE CALLING SHOULD THERE BE ANY PROBLEM WAS IN FACT A CALL CENTRE IN INDIA NOT DEAR OLD LONDON TOWN, I WOULDN'T THAT'S FOR SURE

I ordered from MyDV at the end of October and have since read lots of info online about how bad they are. Despite several attempts to get them to refund me, I have not received anything. I have sent lots of documentation to my credit card company but so far they have not responded. But I thought I should post here to add to the weight of numbers of those who have suffered at the fraud of MyDV.

I just took a look at the MyDV website, the home page has this to say

"MyDV is temporarily not taking new orders. Rest assured that all existing orders will be delivered. Check back Monday!"

it does not state which Monday...

Now it says .....

MyDV is temporarily not taking new orders. Rest assured that all existing orders will be delivered. Check back very soon!
...

although they are taking telephone orders!! so at the moment they are more likely to answer the phones ready to keep trading, im guessing this is the best period to phone them

After approx 30 minutes of the mydv site not being available, the following message now appears on the home page...

MyDV is temporarily not taking new orders. Rest assured that all existing orders will be delivered. Check back very soon!

According to another post, they were still accepting orders, however we don't know if at this point they still are with this changed message. THis is a different message than what was there previously ... (guess Monday just didn't happen for them  )

The website says phones open from 8am till midnight. I have never had any joy before about 9am and now at 8.20pm a message says that they only accept calls between 8am and 8pm. Is there no end to this..............??

As MYDV will have let hundreds if not thousands of UK customers down this year.
The best advice I could give is to get down the shops and buy the item and dispute the payment with your credit card for the MYDV order after Christmas.

I know this may not help much but it is the only quick solution to a problem instigated by this company who where actively lying to customers by making us believe they had the items in stock and where UK based.

Also beware of www.pspuniverse.co.uk who are the same shower of sh**s

I have wrote to Geotrust regarding their seal on the site...here is the email.

dear sirs,
I am writing to you with regard to a seal displayed on a site.
The site in question is http://www.pspuniverse.co.uk this site is a subsidiary of Nepco and more importantly an off shoot of the controversial myDV who i know you are fully aware of.
My concerns are as follows, the attorney general secured a restraining order preventing this company from trading due to the fraudulent activities, and its systematic abuse of trust and deceit. I find it difficult to understand as to why you would approve a seal under a different site name for the same company especially as you are aware of its continuing actions, and knowing of the pending legal action. I must add i will have great trouble in the future trusting any site which displays a geotrust seal as you have displayed your approval of them clearly. In future i will not shop on a site which displays your seal. I sincerely hope you investigate and re-evaluate your position with this company as most consumer friendly companies would.

yours sincerely

I visited the site at http://www.pspuniverse.co.uk and it is very similar to MyDv in terms of how the site works, etc., and also again they have put the telephone number, which is a UK number, but in a totally wrong format. This should be a dead giveaway as to the fact that there is something dodgy about them, but how many people would actually spot this? I fear that many people would not worry about it.

Also, if you look at http://amail.co.uk/cgi-bin/adetails.pl?domain=pspuniverse.co.uk&brand=amail
you will see the same owner listed as for mydv.co.uk

This guy does not know when to quit. He is a fraudster and criminal, the fact that he has another site strongly implies this.

Possibly, but not definitely. I think that there is a fine line between seeking justice for a wrong that was done, and maliciously tearing someone to pieces. In my opinion, the MyDv community is slowly beginning to step over that line. That isn't to say that this isn't understood. You guys have definitely had a horrible experience and I applaud your efforts to make things right. :applause:

I only want to see you succeed in this effort, and from my experience, there are some pitfalls to avoid when everyone starts getting excited about your progress.

Stay focused on the small battle. Handling MyDv by continuing to strongly respond with reports to all government entities is your best bet. If you succeed in bringing every possible motion, filing, and action against MyDv.co.uk, then the owner will have it on his record. From there, you can begin to build a case to the government regarding Nepco's other sites.

Take it one day, and one site, at a time. These large organizations, if indeed corrupt, have a way of bouncing back if they are not dealt with completely.

I have also been fighting a losing battle with mydv.co.uk, i ordered a sony psp the first week in november, a good deal i thought....Oh how wrong was i

After over 50 calls and ever more attempts to contact there not so 'live chat' feature on there website, i decided on some drastic action.

i phoned on tue 20th dec around 8am (seems to be the best time of day)and threatened court action, i lied and said that my solicitor was on the case and they had one last chance to dispatch my order....

And what do you know i had a sony psp on my doorstep by friday......

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP!!!

PERSEVERANCE WILL PREVAIL

Keep in mind that Matrixwatch does not suggest anyone be deceitful in order to get results. There was a court order which was supposed to have all MYDV victims either get their products by Christmas, or be notified that the products would not arrive for Christmas. Urbanhitman likely received his ordered product NOT because of his threats, but because of this court order.

Matrixwatch always supports intelligent, positive consumer action.

I am another idiot who ordered through MYDV - I ordered a PSP. That arrived so some ggo news however it was Japanese Spec and.....
The Box stated that the unit was for resale and use in Japan only
The manual was in Japanese

Dear fgrant,

All us poor myDV victims need to be tough with the CC companies as well. Don't forget that the CC companies make their profits from the fact that we customers use them to make purchases. The fact is, you were sold goods unfit for their intended purpose by virtue of all the faults you list. Don't for a second take any rubbish from the CC company! Insist on a full refund from them, if that's in the end what you want.
