got refund today

Hi all
I got another £146 today so i am a lot happier than 3-4 weeks ago .
They still owe me approx £3 but i have now had enough and am writting that off to experience.
MYDV is no longer a shortcut in my favs folder and i shall not be visiting them again.

I bet your so glad its finally over, congratulations. did you have to email/phone them constantly or could you leave it be and wait? i dont mind emailing or live chatting but the thought of my phonebill with all the calls i may well have to make is killing me

I found the live chat and emails a total waste of time.
I used the phone best times to get through are 11.30 to 14.30.
Don't be put off by the american transfer most of my calls was using a mobile so I knew how much it was costing straight away.
To get the full mailbox cost about 5-7 pence.
When you try and get a full mailbox during the times stated above try again 10-15 mins later it worked for me.
Be polite but be sure of what you are going to say and don't be turned around when the chap trys to fob you off with "other options".
For the most times with me the guy on the other end of the phone line was excellent and helpful, far more so than the useless ones manning the live chat lines.

Out of interest I have bought a panasonic camcorder from Amazon (took 2 days to arrive) cost more than the JVC i ordered from MYDV but at least it is a PAL version.

Thanks for that, thats good advice, I will keep at them, its good to here stories of people finally getting there in the end, it makes me feel beeter that eventually something will come of this

Well just spoke to someone to ask about my order,, he took the order number told me it will be shipped this week, i asked about my cancellation, he had to take my order number again, told me after a little pause that it is cancelled i asked again about a email, told me he will do that no problem.
i went to the online chat thing, told me that it had NOT been cancelled, when i explained that i have spoken to a few people to cancel this, told me that i should call back and demand it be cancelled immediately, but sods law i cant get through again :shake:, im getting so worried :confused:

i dont know when you cancelled but the cancellation email seems to arrive about 5-6 working days after cancellation hope this puts your mind at ease.

How long did it take to get your refund? I got an e-mail (actually two e-mails) back to confirm my order cancellation a month ago and I haven't heard a peep since.

I would get in touch with them my two refunds came in about 2-3 days after getting the confirmation emails

Its great you have got your refund.

If you haven't already please take some time to submit a complaint to the Atorney Generals Office in Massachussets. As you will see on this site they are taking legal processdings against MyDV to get them shut down. your experience will add to the weight of evidence and strengthen their case.

All it will take from you is a little bit of time. There is even a standard text you can send in one of the stickies on this site.
