Hi
I was taken in by this lot. I ordered a camcorder, advertised at 319.99 got charged 346.00 I contacted my bank who issued an immediate chargeback for the overcharge, just over twenty pounds. I waited and waited for my goods, cancelled the order and demanded a refund. I did not get one from mydv.co.uk even after numerous calls and emails, same as everyone else. :head:
Thirty days had passed and no refund or goods were received, on the 32nd day DHL attempted delivery, I refused item as I had cancelled the order three weeks previously  and informed them I was having a dispute with the company. Still no refund.
I contacted my bank for advice (Lloyds TSB) and apparently they can only issue one chargeback per transaction. When they issued the initial chargeback, they took back the entire amount, $611 +
They had initally refunded me the twenty pound diffrence, but were holding on to the rest of the money all the time (I didnt know this!).
Apparenly the company are meant to invoice you again for the proper amount and currency after the chargeback. If the company does not invoice you again within 45 days IN STERLING, the bank will pay the money back into your account (provided you have cancelled the order and there is a record of a dispute). I know it may take a while but I got the full amount of £319.99 back yesterday from the bank. so result! but not thanks to mydv.
Delighted at the news today about the legal action, I was one of the people who reported them to the mirror newspaper and got a mention in the article :applause:
The best advice I can give those of you who have been caught out, file a chargeback dispute with your bank, Lloyds debit card disputes number is 08453006699, keep all transcripts, invoices, emails, printout of DHL tracking if returned etc, they will prove valuable, make sure if you get through on chat that they state they will refund you for the full amount and state the full amount, ask if this is true, if they say yes, then you should have enough to go on in order to get your money back
Good luck to all of you, I have learned the hard way to research new companies first!
Questions and advice welcome

Excellent advice doranmarie this should give hope to many out there who have also used a debit card to make payment.

Any contract of sale with MYDV is null and void as it is based on a falsehood that the company is UK based.

Your bank will also receive a charge back fee from MYDV. So its a win win for the banks.
