 From the people who have had their prays answered and received their PSP's, are they value packs?
From a very irrating phone call I seem to have come to a conclusion is that you only get the PSP itself, so once again I could get cheated!
Not only have they over charged me, I am going to have to go out and buy a memory card along with some form of protection which is just not on!
Do I get these things with the PSP or not?
I ordered it on the 12th of November. :head:

To be honest whether it is a value pack or not is not the issue. You may never see the PSP at all. Its over 30 days. I would speak to your Credit Card Company and start proceedings with them to get your money back then buy elsewhere. You are entitled to claim all the money including the over charge from them. They in turn will chase myDV for the cash via a "Chargeback" . If they get it or not you are still entitled to a refund from the Credit Card company. Call them and get them to send you the form or whatever they need you to do to get your money.

A memory stick (32MB Duo) SHOULD have been included with the pack you ordered, and also soft case and neck strap - at the very least. If it is a "value pack" you should also get headphones and remote control.
I got my PSP's without the above - seem unable to send them back (no contact address) and will NOT get a refund unless I send them back. Apparently according to my Credit Card Company, those who haven't received their goods are more likely to get a refund than those who have received the PSP pack!!! This is despite the fact that the goods received, without spending more money, are not fit for the purpose for which they were bought. :head:

A common theme is under what circs you will or will not get your money back from the CC company.
I think we are taking too much bull from the CC companies - don't settle for any prevarication, press hard for your solution. I consulted 2 solicitors (informally) about this issue and ultimately you must push the CC company for a full refund. We are not only myDV's customers, we are also the CC company's customers and they make vast money out of the fact we use them for purchases.

Just a quick message to all who are having problems with their credit card company:
Even if you have received your psp but cannot get any joy from MYDV your credit card company should still take up the matter on your behalf.
It is tricky though as they will try to baffle you with procedure-but 2 important points to remember and also remind the Credit Card company representative of are:
1. The Sale of Goods Act
2. The Distance Selling Regulations (especially this one as it was put in place to protect the consumer from this type of situation)
If still no joy contact your local trading standards or citizens advice and they will help further.
When using a credit card the contract of sale is jointly between the company (MYDV in this instance) and the Credit Card Issuer.
It is possible to also seek a judgement in the small claims court. But it is unlikely things would go this far.
It should also be noted that signing for a delivery only shows you have received the goods and does not mean you have accepted them.
Even though MYDV is out side the jurisdiction of english law your credit card company is not.

I received my white PSP yesterday. It was a value pack that came with all the bits expected.

My PSP came yesterday as well (to my amazement only 1 and a half weeks after ordering!) it was clearly a Japanese import, all the relevent bits were there which should have been in the value pack.
The only annoying thing was that it only comes with a japanese plug and no adaptor, but if you don't get one you can use any plug which has the small end with two holes e.g. the xbox power lead

Hii Deviliaz
I thought the same that i could use the connections for my sons PS2 however when i was i the GAME SHOP i happened to mention aobut my experience with MYDV to the manager and explained that i had received the pSP without the adaptor and all the other items that should have been included in the value pack . i told him that i managed to charge the psp with the connection to the ps2 and he told me that i will totally ruin the inside of the console due to the different voltage and that i should purchase the correct adaptor before charging the console again . Like you i just thought this will do it but just take care not to ruin your console !!!!!

This is not true, the AC adaptor works with a voltage of 100v - 240v (the AC adaptor it's self is universal, all thats different is the plug supplied).
If you look at the AC adaptor, you will see in input volts (displayed, I the green area).

Ok, thanks for the warning Dorothy :) I'll make sure to check that it'll work ok before the first charge!
So is there never a variation on the plug talked about which may have a different voltage? After the scary experience of ordering my PSP off mydv, I certainly wouldn't want to have to return it to them for a new one :S
