Im in the throws of cancelling and trying to obtain a refund from mydv.
Barclays have been notified of the fraudulent transaction made against my card.

I originally ordered a Sony DCR-HC22e DV handycam a month ago- two days after, i realise what a terrible company mydv are and cancel after seeing they have overcharged me.

Can anyone tell me if they know of anyone recieving a camcorder from this company which has been what they wanted and compatible in the UK?

Many Thanks!

If you search on my name in this site you will find my story. I ordered a £2000+camcorder, then followed 8 weeks of hell as with all my fellow sufferers. Briefly: I cancelled, the camcorder arrived unannounced anyway, it was NTSC format thus incompatible with UK PAL TV standard, I managed to get myDV to collect it, I eventually got a full refund. I had to be incredibly persistent at all stages, but since I sent photographs of the unopened box showing it was NTSC, myDV clearly had no argument. Like most people who are persistent I eventually won through.

I think you are absolutely right to cancel. Now keep records of everything, email myDV on all the available email addresses, and keep your CC company fully informed. Don't worry, you will eventually get your money back. Don't take any rubbish from the CC company, if myDV don't refund you, they must. Keep at it!
