 After over a month i finally received my PSP but be warned, it is Japanese with Japanese manual, Japanese adaptor and Japanese voltage!!!!
Not only this but it is NOT A VALUE PACK so i had to buy the necessaries myself such as a memory stick and some protection which i didn't mind to badly. Despite all this crap, it works fine and i have sorted the recharging issue by taking the power lead of the PS2 and fitting to the PSP adaptor which works and is safe as the resistance is higher than the power so anyone who has been doing this don't worry. On top of that their is such items as a movie stand which recharges your PSP and a USB cable to charge from your PSP. I know for a fact i have been over-charged from my bank account but to be honest am not bothred as i am just glad i received the damn thing!
You will receive your goods, just expect it to be late with equipment missing.

tlinds:

I'm suprised that you are happy just to receive the item. We've been telling you all that you will all receive your items....but we also have been telling everyone that the items are probably not UK-spec. It seems like you are just saying "oh well" even though this company still owes you money....you should consider standing up for yourself.

Merc is right. Check out the MyDv FAQ. It is a well-known fact that everyone will probably receive their item from MyDv, but that item will oftentimes be foreign. To make matters worse, it is very difficult to send the item back to MyDv for a refund.

This is why many have been recommending that MyDv customers refuse the shipment from the courier, and just file a chargeback with their Credit-Card company. Makes things a lot easier.

After all is said and done though, it is good to see that "tlinds" has a great attitude about the whole thing! :)

I too received my PSP's with items missing and was unable to return them. It is not acceptable that a company can advertise goods and then send customers something else and also overcharge them. This is blatant fraud!!

I too, also thought I was ordering a "Value Pack" and was sent a "Standard Pack". Get your Credit Card Company to refund the difference between the sum on your invoice and the debit on your bank account. Otherwise this company has won!

Hi first post. I've took the route of chargeback with my bank on 2 Jan, but i've recieved an e-mail from Mydv to say that the item (psp) has been sent. So i've checked the DHL website and it is at my local depot ready to be delivered. I tried 3 times to cancel the order but nothing so i just spoke to my bank again and told them about the e-mail and they have told me i have to accept the delivery as i'm not covered by the chargeback, if i refuse the order.

Any ideas or should i just stick to my guns and refuse when it comes tomorrow?

I thought after 30 days the goods have been failed to deliver, chargeback is legitamate.???? What happens after that is irrelevent, even the court order against MYDV said that 4 weeks was a reasonable amount of time and if it was to be longer, the parties should agree on it. I would talk to the bank again re: exactely what rules are stipulated re: a chargeback. If my goods turn up now, theres no way i'm accepting them,. My chargeback was filed on 7 th Jan.

That was what i thought. From what i can recall he said it was to do with them using it as evidence to say that they did try and deliver but the customer refused. He also said that they were filing lots of chargebcaks against Mydv.

Cheers Checkd01.

Looks to me like a win for mydv this time.

As long as you are OK with it, then fine, but most are not as forgiving as you!

Spoke to my bank and they say that because i did not sign for anything when i rejected the item yesterday, i'm still covered and that Mydv have 60 days to fight the chargeback. As long as i keep the evidence the bank are confident i should win this one.

Does anyone have the address to send the item back, until i return it I cannot ask the bank to try and claim a refund - if ever I get one!!! I also will have to claim via by bank.
Unsure whether to return it -even though it is really of no use - Have purchased one in the uk - English version.

My bank also told me I had to return the PSP's before they would consider a refund - and this was despite the fact that as far as I was concerned, I had received "faulty goods". ie. not the "Value Pack" I ordered and items were missing. I repeatedly asked mydv.co.uk for instructions on how to return these consoles, without success.

Methinks you will be stuck with them! I have managed to well ONE at a loss - the other remains in the wardrobe!!

Good luck!

Does anyone have the address to send the item back

The answer (unfortunately) is no. We have no address for returned goods. Folks have been attempting to get return information from NEPCO for weeks, with no help. This answer, and answers to many questions can be found in the MYDV FAQ (http://www.matrixwatch.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3561).

you need to send it back to the address which is on the box. I was fortunate enough to have mydv arrange a pick up date from DHL they didn't charge me, and now im just waiting on a refund- which my CC company is going to sort out if i don't get it in 30 days.

Hi.

Can you (or anyone) tell me if you received a prior EMail from mydv, telling you that the item had been shipped and giving you a tracking number (and contact number at the courier)?

Did you try telling the courier that you would not be taking receipt of the item?

I'm concerned that the item might arrive while I'm out and the courier gets a neighbour to sign for it. Then I'll be stuck with the problem of getting it back.

Thanks

nah, i never recieved a tracking number it just turned up at my door a week after i had a confirmation of cancellation. I wouldv'e declined it but another family member accepted delivery.

Thats the problem you can't help apart from telling your next door neigbours to not accept it? Trust me, it's so much easier to get a refund if you havn't got to return the item too

I received my PSP's on the 12th December, 2005 without knowing they were on their way - that was despite cancelling the order on the 17th November, 2005.

After repeated requests to mydv.co.uk for instructions on how to return them, I still have ONE! One I have managed to sell on - at a loss. Had to purchase those items missing from the boxes, before I could sell them.

I got 2 emails from mydv 1st was confirmation of the order 2nd was confirming my cancellation of the order on Christmas Eve. I did ask for a tracking number from the call centre only to be told that they did not issue tracking numbers. When I told him that I had spoke to someone at DHL whoadvised me that it was up to the shipper to issue tracking numbers he said "what to you want me to do pull one out of my pocket" Cheeky sod.
