Just warning people that there are emails from barclays asking youfor update details. These are a scam.

I got some and am not even in Barclays Bank.

When you reply to the email, it sends it back saying demon failure.

A bank should not or never ask you for your details via email.

Please do not reply to these.

I don't like people being ripped off. & don't know what people get out of sending these emails. :head:

Hi,
Your spot on with this-every bank and major payment processor will have a phishing scam running in their name at one time or another.

Never answer e-mails or click on links, and if in any doubt call you bank on their official numbers which should appear on your Bank Statements (sent via snail mail).
This also applies if you are called via telephone and asked to confirm any details, simply refuse and call the bank back on their official number.

Phishing! It is amazing how much of this is going around. I'd suggest reporting this to internetsecurity@barclays.co.uk by forwarding the email.

Note that I have moved this thread to our phishing forum.
