I agree with what BigStarr said about them at Top-Matrix forum. The guy is probably giving refunds, but it really does take time since it usually comes out of their own pockets. Just keep communicating with the owner. If they are really trying their best, then they should keep you posted.

When a matrix site opens up there is usually a surge of customers who sign up. It is very important for that site to pay out for the cyclers because those who cycle end up posting the good news on the forums. This is positive advertisement for the matrix site, and it brings in more business. Unfortunately, many matrix sites have produced phony cyclers and false testimonials, but there are a lot of true ones though.

What happens next really stinks though. The lists slow down, and then people want their money back. Even those sites that open up new lists and give people "site credits" will eventually get here too. The site owner has some of the money, but most of it went to those who cycled. The customers don't go after those cyclers though, they aim their complaints at the owner. If the owner doesn't do something about it, he/she gets reported. If the owner doesn't quickly get humble and start repenting, those customers come here, and I release all hell on the matrix site. They don't want that. I take claims seriously and encourage the governement to get involved and lawsuits to be eventually filed. The former leads to fines, the latter leads to possible charges and financial breakdown... Not to mention possible retribution from the pay companies.

Here is what site owners do to avoid all of this madness.

1) Refund the customers who post on the forums. Sometimes this is only 10-20% of the customer base, since not all customers know about the forums. This prevents negative advertisement, and it is an easy way out. I don't think it is honorable, but hey... It keeps the people from taking action, right? Unfortunately the 80-90% crowd does a google search, and by that time the search-engine spiders have saved those posts. They will find out what happened at that time and the aggrivating refund-request process will start up again.

2) Contact the authorities and confess to not asking enough advice before launching the site. This is what RYUTAP and other matrix sites did. They just say they didn't know what they were doing, and they tell their customers the honest truth. They promise to refund everyone as well, and sometimes even explain that a bunch of lawsuits have been filed, and post a link to MatrixWatch.org

3) Try to dodge it all and give the customers false hope. This is a stupid decision, but it is used a lot. People are not idiots, and once their patience runs thin they act out even more severely.

4) Make up a ridiculous excuse that makes the customer feel bad for bugging them. This has been a very effective method, and it has long-lasting effects. Remember MatrixComKits? What a ridiculous story! "Oh, two people on our lists came and attacked me in front of my children.. Oh, please, I'm doing all I can. Please let me get my life back in order and comfort my children, then I will start the refund process!" People still don't give her any problems because they are afraid of being labeled as heartless. Well, I say show us the police report. Forward us to a newspaper article. Without any evidence presented whatsoever, and people still asking about refunds on the forums, this site owner got away slate clean. The same used to go for the "I got hacked" excuse, though that didn't work well enough for EmatrixUSA. I do think that after it wears out though, the #4 option becomes a #3 option.

Nevertheless, the drumbeat is still going here at Matrix Watch. All matrix sites that offer a chance to win a prize in exchange for purchasing an e-book are illegal. You should assume your time will come and get out of the business while the getting is good--don't forget to refund everyone's money.

No one out there should think that they are so bold as to avoid possible legal action.
