We have put together a dedicated team of individuals who have worked hard for each and every one of you, and we have strived to make Matrix Watch your source for all the current news affecting the Matrix community. People know to come here first when changes begin to take place, and we thank you all for helping to make our reputation strong. One of the strengths of Matrix Watch is our VBulletin and VBportal-powered web site. This allows multiple users to access this site at one time without delays, and it provides several functions that make the layout organized and easy to navigate. Here are a few areas that the donations given to Matrix Watch will pay for:
Advertising Matrix Watch on other sites, and costs associated with advertising (i.e. banner design, increasing amount of rotations and clicks, etc.)
Costs associated with the licensing, programming, and hosting of this site. The bulk of these costs have been paid for "out-of-pocket" and some financial reimbursement would be appreciated. Hosting is paid for on a monthly basis, and we may quite possibly need to increase our level of service due to the amount of space and bandwidth that has increased, and is continuing to increase.
Payments for moderators and administrators. Regulating these forums is actually a very tedious task, and the moderators work especially hard at keeping the forums organized and neat. Spammers, questionable advertisers, rule-breakers, etc. have the capability of breaking down the quality of our forums just as weeds would destroy the beauty of a garden. It is a daily task to straighten up the forums, and the moderators deserve to be compensated for their time. A portion of your contribution goes to these moderators.
Costs associated with mailing documents and important items. Filling out the various documents and sending them out increases our budget for postage. In fact, sometimes we need to mail media items, which increases the postage rate even more. Your donations will help to off-set these costs.
