I'm brand new here, and I'm hoping I write this post correctly.

Prior to this year, I was actively trying to make money on the 'net. You can all guess my story: I lost money in YMMSS and EZWBD. I'd given up on ever getting any of it back until I found your forum.

God bless the Matrix Watch founder and all posters who help support this forum.

I need the links, info necessary to register my complaints against and losses caused by these companies. I'm not sure how to go about this, so will someone please supply that?

I tried 'net programs because I'm not free to leave home for a job; I have an elderly mother and special needs animals that require my presence, so, like many of you, I went searching for income generating programs that seemed legitimate.

In YMMSS/STA, I bought 28 EPCs @ $10.65 each, and of course, I haven't received a penny yet in payment.

In EZWBD, I bought their idiot debit card, and 1 of the 10 packages and 1 100 package, or whatever the goofball things are called.

I have quit all internet programs, and am now investigating proofreading sites that actually require proofreading work to be done. I think that's my best avenue.

I'm interested in hearing all your advice, stories, loss report links, etc., and if I can help anyone in any way, I'll gladly do so.

Thanks to you all, and I'm listening.

God bless.

Welcome to Matrix Watch GospelSongbird.

Sorry for your losses in EZWBD and YMMSS.

Hopefully you have learned some lessons
through all of this.

No need to give up on all internet businesses,
but you should now know that there is no
make money doing nothing program that
will work long term.

I'd be careful on the proofreading stuff
as well. Much of it is like the old envelope
stuffing schemes.

If anything you're looking at wants money
up front, chances are it's a scam just
selling you information.

Feel free to throw anything your looking
at for review here.

There is plenty of legitimate business to
be done on the internet, but it all takes
time, effort, and eventually money.

I've been off the computer a few days, so this is the first chance I've had to reply.

You really think the proofreading sites are scams?

I'm keenly interested in onlineproofreaders.com and Grammatika. I've run both through the BBB and ripoffreport.com; Grammatika comes up clean. The down side there is the fee is about $100 per year for the proofreading and copyediting jobs.

Online... has 6 complaints filed with the BBB in 36 months, and reports show the company has tried to resolve the complaints.

I have to find some way to make money online. I haven't joined anything new yet. Anybody knowing any dirt on the proofreading sites, by all means, tell me.

Hmmm...sometimes I wonder whether I ought to just try investing online.:shake: It's so difficult trying to determine what will really work and what won't.

God bless, everybody.

Welcome back GospelSongBird,

I didn't say for certain they are scams.

I merely suggest caution and as much
research as possible before you throw
money at them.

One good way to look for potential issues
is by typing in searches for keywords like
onlineproofreaders.com scam in Google (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=mozclient&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&q=onlineproofreaders.com+scam)
or other search engines.

You can do the same with Grammatika.

The grammatika website is only 2 years
3 months old (http://whois.domaintools.com/grammatika.com) and onlineproofreaders is
about 2 years 6 months (http://whois.domaintools.com/onlineproofreaders.com).

When researching stuff like this
you need to smack the $$$ signs
out of your eyes and think about
things rationally.

Just from a little bit of research,
it doesn't necessarily seem like
these two are outright scams.

One thing you do find is that
there are a lot more bidders
looking for work than there is
work to be had.

There may be some extra money
to be made if you bid low enough,
but it's not likely to be a lot. It
is also not likely to be consistent
income.

Good luck.

Hi GospelSongbird

I don't know too much about those proof reading jobs,
however if you can write original content well there is
money to be made online if you know where to look.
It is true that most online "opportunities" are very hard to
make money at or at the worst outright scams.
Anyone that asks for a lot of money upfront is a red flag
in my eyes. Legitimate work does not do this.
If it sounds too good to be true it probably is

If you are willing to put the work in you can make money online.
I have had sucess doing just that.
Good luck with your quest.
