With recent announcement of Utahs legal relaxation on MLM's that would normally fall foul of Pyramid Scheme laws. http://www.matrixwatch.org/modules.php?name=News&file=showarticle&threadid=4795 will Utah now see a huge increase in Pyramid Level Marketing Companies (PLM's) relocating to this region.
This is of course open to debate but I consider a PLM as a company/Individual who is selling a product/Service which has argueable true resale value i.e e-books, freely available advice some fruit juice drinks and the usual mixture of snake oil. A PLM's primary attraction will be recruitment and downline building and the product will always take a back seat where as a reputable MLM (I'm sure there are a few) primary attraction will be the selling of the product/Service and recruitment is secondary.
Will there come a time when every resident of Utah is a member of one downline or another and will local real estate agents have to issue warnings for prospective homebuyers that they are entering a Pyramid Zone and even issue a brochure detailing how to avoid PLM meetings and the usual gung ho knicker waving ceremonies that take place in PLM recruitment get togethers.
With the amount of Pyramid Schemes on the go will Utah be twinned with Egypt or even renamed Ugypt.
Or is this a clever move by the local politicians who know being a Pyramid Friendly state will bring huge revenue in from PLM's looking to relocate.
