I was wondering if paypal should be investigated. They have a lot of negative attention towards them. They have personally "frozen" $6000 of mine. If someone was going to take action against them, you would get at LEAST a couple hundred witnesses, and a large amount of supporters. I would do it myself, but paypal has stolen that money. Now, I'm poor :( .
I was also wondering if we can get our money back if the lawsuit with ezexpo goes through... :(

I have heard this before, and it seems that a lot of people have a bone to pick with PayPal. I am unaware of the details surrounding PayPal's alleged unfair practices, but whatever it is, a lot of people are upset. Perhaps we could start a new discussion thread for this issue.
I would recommend that you contact your attorney, or you may contact mine. His email is wilens@cox.net. He will review your details and let you know if you have a case. If you are able to file a class-action suit, then please keep matrix watch informed.

One thing that you will notice with PayPal is that they have a very extensive arbitration policy....

Pay Pal has several class action law suits going against them.
They may have an arbitration clause, but that doesn't mean a thing. You can have a law suit with issue on what that arbitration clause says and whether it's binding or not.

Very true - it is just a lot harder to push anything through against them with that arbitration clause in place.

there are numerous sites out there that are against PayPal - when I used to own EZ Expo, I sent an email to everyone on the mailing list with the following sites:
www.paypalwarning.com
www.paypalsucks.com
because people always asked me why we did not tae PayPal anymore....

Happy to say that I have had only positive experiences with Paypal to this point.
Why is your money 'frozen'?

You can get your money frozen for various reasons....
someone pays you oversees, or with an "illegal" creditcard
you have too much money coming in in too little time
you have too many complaints
THEY FEEL LIKE IT
Many people say they freeze people's accounts so that they can get the interest. You can't get your money back for 6 months!

i just had a nightmare with my credit card processor. They witheld almost 10k of my money because i had an explosion in business from one month to the next. I did $15k one month then $40k the next last sept/oct I am just now seeing the money. I was extremely depressed it totally turned my business upside down, i was unable to ship orders, pay bills etc. Im just glad to have the money back. Now im opening up an internet cafe. If you want to make money that is where it is at. The are growing at a phenomenal rate.

Yes, you have to be very careful when using PayPal. It had been used (not for matrix though), I was always afraid to keep more than $800 in the account since there had been so many horror stories of PayPal just freezing the account.
Also, you have to watch out for scammers. One day I had sold a phone, a person from Indonesia bid and paid through it. I held the phone back since I was almost sure it was fraud, and sure enough, after about 3 weeks the payment was charged back.
LESSON: If you sell merchandise on eBay and don't want to lose the money from theives or PayPal, withdraw early, withdraw often.

exactly...I keep very little money in paypal, but have never had a problem and they were almost instantaneous when refunding my money that I paid to rsient.com.
I would say though from a sellers perspective, that they are risky because they can control your money.
Although, they are very helpful to us in hindering these websites from totally scamming people. I've never heard of most of the other pay processors until this matrix thing started up. Why wouldn't someone running a matrix site, try to partner up with a pay processor and make even more money without having the fear of frozen money?
